My implant died at exactly 3 years.

The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

I used it on the morning of the 15th, worked very good. I went to inflate it later that day sounds like the pump has a leak. So wish me well on my revision.

May I suggest that you create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what i'm here for.

I was just implanted so I hate hearing this and am unhappy for you that you have to go through a revision. Best wishes.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Sorry to hear about the failure - mine failed just one week short of 3 years. I called the day after mine failed to start the process of replacing it. Luck of the draw I guess - my revision has not gone well - I hope your revision goes smoothly.

Hey lewis, sorry to hear that. Could you please tell us what caused the failure?
I think this would be of great interest for all guys here. It also helps to summarize...
Thanks and best regards.

I assuming the a connection line is broken or one of the cylinder has a hole. The pump is still good but the implant isn't sealed somewhere. I can pump one time but it's not going to inflate at all. The pump bulb also goes flat so the implant has a leak.

Multiple problems - one big issue - the big issue is where the pump ended up. It is so high that it is extremely hard to get to the release. The release end of the pump assembly is adhered at the top of the scrotum. The bulb of the pump is about level with my balls so everytime I walk any significant distance they get very sore. I guess I was spoiled - the pump on my original implant was in the perfect position - lower than balls and slightly to front.

I am almost at 10 weeks post surgery and have cycled only a couple of times. I currently have a small infection in the lower part of the incision that is very sore and because the pump is so high, it is right under this bad spot on the incision.

I am now also dealing with billing issues with U of maryland hospital.

Well after my visit the doctor said it's move than likely it's a leak in the one of the cylinder. He told me it takes 30 days for my insurance to give approval. I'm frustrated over waiting the 30 days. I hope the insurance speed the process up.
