So, for those of you that had the procedure, what kind of shape were you in after 2 weeks? Could you have managed to be in a situation that required limited mobility and some standing for a few hours a day?
my answer: yes, at seven days I would be able to handle an easy desk job for 6 hours per day

at 14 days, I was able to get back completely to work feeling at 95% capability and able to stand for several hours and felt normally mobile.

My surgeon officially answers this question by saying, "if you have a sedentary desk job, then you can return to work at seven days" and then he states : "if you have a job where you are on your feet a lot, then "you can return to work in 14 days"

Basically, I felt totally fine and able to work at fourteen days. (note, I suppose if you are really active, like a furniture moving man, then maybe 3 weeks are needed)

I was back to work (a desk job) in a week. I was still uncomfortable, but I felt good enough to return to work.

I am no hero and it’s true as an educactor I move around in a fairly benign manner, but I was back at the whiteboard 6 days after surgery.
Driving was no drama.....I did wear fairly baggy trousers because of the partial inflation however with regular paracetamol I suffered very little discomfort.
I have a high level of fitness through swim training and surfing.....I think this may have been a significant factor in my quick and trouble free recovery.

I am an educator as well. I think the key is how well you are doing post op. You won’t know your answer until then. I didn’t have a tremendous amount of swelling after surgery, and was able to return to work after a couple of weeks no problem. Everyone is different though, just hope for the best and don’t rush anything. It’s not worth it.
Be sure to get clearance on some loose fitting clothes initially. I wore a lot of baggy pants and hockey jerseys.
I wish I could have taken another week, just for the awkwardness of having to work around kids. Good luck with everything.

For the first time after the operation, no tight clothing should be worn. During the recovery period, a splint should be worn to minimize tension in the groin area. In addition, temporarily forget about physical activities and sports. Water treatment is prohibited for 48 hours after surgery. On discharge, the doctor will prescribe painkillers, which should be taken only in painful sensations. Men also have to take a course of anti-inflammatory medication. But in general, when I had these problems, I used to pray to God all the time, and my faith helped me a lot. I often read prayers from the Bible on the platform https://fherehab.com/learning/inspirati ... e-verses.И. I felt much more comfortable recovering from the surgery.
