I am just short of 1 month since the day I have started cycling. Today I hit 1 hour of cycling at a go with minimal pain. I have been inflating 80-90% easily. I try squeezing in more pumps as some time passes by during cycling. So the last few mins (10-15) are at 100% but the glans starts paining a lot.
I am still trying to cycle two times a day but its been inconsistent. My doctor recommends I cycle 2-3 times a day for 30 mins each for a total of 6 months.
The deflate valve can still pain. I really have to place it in a place where the pinching place is minimum. I also find that when my scrotum is hard the deflation is less painful. I am still to understand what leads to scrotum compressing and getting hard against it getting loose and hanging.
One more question someone asked me over PM was that if Dr. Cordon is ready to trim the cylinders in order to avoid putting RTE's. I did ask him this question. He told me he can trim the cylinder if needed and is open to that idea. I have heard Dr. Eid and Dr. Clavell both are open to doing this as well.
Rest I am still hoping my flaccid will get softer. The dog ears are quite noticeable and hard. The flaccid no longer pains on any kind of movement which is a positive but it can still hang much better. I hope it improves as I cycle more and more.
Another thing I would like to share is that I have tried masturbating 3-4 times and each time it has been great. I could even jerk off on just the flaccid. It was a relief to see that ejaculation is preserved. I also found that my shaft becomes more rounded and girth increases by almost 0.5-1cms when I am aroused. I tried that while watching some porn. So it all looks positive till now.
Apart from this I found that my insurance has not yet charged me fully my out of pocket maximum amount. My out of pocket Maximum was 2500$ but I was only charged about 400-500$ for this surgery. And all bills are shown as paid! Not sure if that was an error on someone's part but I am happy to save that amount

Re: Journal- Surgery with Dr. Billy Cordon in Miami
I complete 2 months since my surgery in less than a week. I am now able to cycle for more than an hour twice a day without any pain. The glans swell up if I am aroused or in the morning but don’t pain.
I have started masturbation and did that a few times. It felt great. Tried it with just the flaccid and also after full inflation. The shaft does pain a bit while jerking off so I assume it will be little painful while having sex.
But I have seen considerable improvement week on week and I am quite hopeful that I will be ready for action soon.
The scrotum still feels tender at a few places. Not sure when that will go away. The sensation on the underside of penis is still very less and I am hoping it will change in next few months. Size wise I am already little bit more than at the pre op. The girth remains same as preop.
I find that the hardness and feel of the penis is much better when I am aroused and some blood flow is happening.
I have made an appointment with Dr. Eid for the 1st of May (just in time before I fly to India). Since he was my original doctor I am looking forward to showing him the surgery results and also take some learnings on the best usage of the device. If anyone has any questions which I should ask Dr. Eid, kindly feel free to post.
To those silent readers who are lurking on FT and trying to make up their minds. Know that I was in your shoes not so long ago. I took this difficult decision after much consideration and after losing a lot in my personal and professional life. Even though I am yet to become sexually active, I can already feel a renewed sense of confidence and zeal to approach girls and life in general. So if you are suffering from ED and have failed drugs, injections etc make the plunge and get your confidence and sex life back on track. Don’t make the mistake of delaying the inevitable. It will cost you more than just your sexual health.
Aside- I also took one shot of prp when I was in India. I have recently come across a paper by Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy and his team where they did a study and found that prp had same effect as placebo for people with ED. My experience was also similar. I initially thought my erections were harder but overall it was a waste.

Thank you Atul for sharing your journey.
Glad to hear that you are almost recovered 100 percent from the surgery.
You are right..we have one life. When an implant is an option we shouldn't delay it if we can.
All the Best.

So happy for you man! And thanks a lot for sharing your experience, we went through similar crap (divorce, Dr. Eid falling sick, and of course, ED), and your journal really helped me tremendously in terms of navigating this dark chapter of my life. Wish you all the best!
31 yrs old. ED from since puberty due to venous leak. Pills worked for 7-8 years and then stopped. Skipped injections, got implanted on 3.11.2023 with Titan Genesis pump 20cm+1.5cm RTEs by Dr. Levine.

Friend. You have been an asset to this forum since the beginning of your journey. Thank you for opening up to everybody about your experiences.
I’m 4 months postop now. That numbness in your scrotum that you describe i have experienced also, as well as in the lower 1/3 of my shaft, underside. At 9 weeks i began having sex again, but was concerned about that numbness. Fortunately the glans and top 2/3 had pretty good sensitivity.
The good news is that this IS improving. I can now gently touch those areas and can feel the sensation coming back. Not 100%, but i’m optimistic that too will soon be normal.
Best wishes to you and keep us updated!

Re: Journal- Surgery with Dr. Billy Cordon in Miami
Been a while since I have put up an update. I am now back to my home country. I am glad that I could do this surgery in the USA which I feel has the best care for IPP.
Like mentioned in my earlier updates, I am able to cycle now for extended periods. I do get some pain in the shaft though. Also, I feel uncomfortable and feel like adjusting my crotch if I have to sit for long hours in a single place. I am not really happy yet with my flaccid as I feel it is too hard specially at the base. I do hope it will soften up with time. Those who have had IPP's for a long time can perhaps share their feedback on this.
I actually got a scare after meeting Dr. Eid on 1st of May. That is also one of the reasons for a delayed post. He examined me and was happy with the placement of the pump. But he said that my left cylinder is further up than it should be. Meaning that my slight oversizing may not actually be slight. I asked him more about it to which he said that this may be painful for my future partner as the tip might hurt her. Though he did say that with good glans engorgement it may be better. I can confirm that I do get a good engorgement of glans. Dr. Eid asked me to be observant of the cylinder tips and contact him if I see them protruding out. I will give him an update after a month. I did ask him what is the worst case scenario to which he said if this does go bad, I may have to undergo another surgery to replace my cylinder(s) I do pray and hope it does not come to that. He did mention some challenges around that surgery as space is already created for a bigger cylinder which may have to be filled up.
So of course I got shit scared and was very very upset over this whole meeting. Once I calmed down and got back to my senses, I decided to reach out to Dr. Cordon and wrote to him about this. Dr. Cordon called me up after a few hours and spoke to me on the phone for 10 minutes. He explained to me that what Dr. Eid is saying is highly unlikely at my age and also because I have healthy tissues. He mentioned that erosion can happen if I choose to stay inflated 24/7. He also assured me that I should not worry and that Dr. Eid is being extra cautious. Also to his credit he called up Dr. Eid and discussed my case with him as well. He did mention to me that had I been oversized a lot, he would have discarded the implant and given me a new one. Like Dr. Eid even Dr. Cordon has the understanding with Coloplast where they can discard an implant without getting charged. I don't have any complaints against Dr. Cordon as I do feel he has done his best and has been very approachable and understanding.
So for now I have been advised to give the implant a try with a partner and provide feedback to both Dr. Eid and Dr. Cordon. I do feel better after my conversation with Dr. Cordon and also a detailed offline chat I had with a fellow FT user who also happens to be a surgeon.
Honestly I don't feel anything wrong with my implant or positioning. Had I not Met Dr. Eid, I perhaps would have not even thought of this. I am able to cycle well, inflate and deflate properly (Dr. Eid showed me the trick to deflate well)
But yes I am a little worried and would like to give this thing a try soon and then be monitoring it over few months. Also, worst case even if I have to, I will travel back to USA and get another surgery done to just replace my left cylinder. I would choose this any day over having a dick which does not work as expected.

I have never heard of a revision to replace a single cylinder, are you sure that's possible?

I am not sure. I was only quoting what Dr. Eid told me.

Hi Atul
As a professional with a few decades in the engineering domain, I can humbly state that specialists tend to have their preference for doing specialized jobs that they have perfected over decades. (example: penoscrotal vs infra-pubic).
There are always pros and cons of one specialist's approach but that doesn't mean one process is better than the other overall.
However, that doesn't mean as patients we need to worry about the subtle outcomes once we have selected a world-class surgeon and implant.
Congratulations to you again and now you should just relax and enjoy the result.
All the best.

I don't see any reason that any of the four components couldn't be individually replaced. What is practical is another issue. The tubing is easy to splice.
Actually I noticed that the AMS demo implant that my dr uses for show & tell has a splice in it.
Drs can be notably superstitious. Thus I suspect cylinders normally get replaced in pairs. Not sure about pumps.
