From the pic, with my limited knowledge, I'd probably say so as well.
But there is a difference between saying
A) Sorry to hear about your issues. I was lucky and had no issues with the pump. Hope all will work out for you. Etc.
And
B) Don't show your pics of your high pump and don't post your problems here. You may make someone think twice about getting an implant.

I love my implant: penis is straight like an arrow, glans supported perfectly, no visible tubes, no visible pump either.
Good way to kill a very informative thread Strongagain.
Several posts per day, then you come with an inappropriate, borderline insulting post which definitely doesn't encourage anyone to post about real issues, and then no posts for two weeks.
But if what we want is all sunshine stories and no real life experience posts which will be useful for intelligent people, then that's the way to go.
And while I'm at it:
If we were talking about cancer and its treatment options here instead, and a colon cancer patient who just had surgery took some pics of his external plastic bag he now uses to take a shit in, would anybody find it appropriate to post a reply and ask him not to post his images and stories, because someone might think twice about having the cancer treatment? And then rub salt in the wounds by saying that 'My surgery went perfect, I don't need that plastic bag to take a shit'???
We're all impotent poor bastards who took a huge, brave step to have our dicks implanted. Not much to make fun about. Especially not about those of us who really open up, share pictures of our most private parts and share very detailed and personal experiences. And doing it for no other reason than for the good sake of helping future impotent poor bastards to make informed decisions.
Classy.

Not sure it's an either or Merrix. I don't think it's inappropriate for someone who is asking about colon cancer surgery to get responses from someone who had the surgery to say honestly that it wasn't bad and that they didn't have to have a bag and that they were back to work in a week cured. Being called a rubbish post because they shared how it wasn't bad for them isn't any more appropriate. Good to hear from the no big deal folks as well as the problem results. Hopefully everyone reading the posts realizes it is always just one person's opinion and post and not a guarantee of success or failure in their unique circumstance. Your very thoughtful and detailed posts of your struggles Merrix as well as others who didn't have any issues are both important to have on the site to give a balanced view I think. Maybe we need a group hug.

Indeed, and new readers should also keep in mind that an unhappy implantee is more likely to post here than a happy one. This is universally the case - unhappy people need to vent, and happy ones don't necessarily need to say anything at all. So the number of negative posts as compared to positive ones can give the skewed impression that there are as many, or more, unhappy implantees than satisified ones. Every survey of which I'm aware reports an extremely high rate of satisfaction among implant recipients, with far more happy than unhappy.

Re: Becoming Bionic
It seems the posts here go in cycles of all is wonderous then a number of people with issues to extreme issues. I lurked here long before joining and have seen both. The last couple days it has been on my mind how people would say the AMS implant felt no different than normal when flaccid. I cannot help but question that as mine feels like it has a heavy rubber rope in it flaccid. That is not comparable to the normal I had and I find it hard to believe those cylinders of silicone feel non existent to one and feel like they have an internal slinky in another. Agreed that all avenues need to be heard.

In the half erect useable state, it is weak, thin near the glans, and droopy. It is about a 4 o'clock erection. Not very natural feeling or looking. And the pump is just flat out too high. I'll attach a pic and let others see what I'm talking about.
From what you've written on this thread it appears that your doctor is very responsive to your inquiries, so go see him right away.
I confess I was alarmed when you reported how soon after the surgery you had started engaging in sexual activity. I was concerned that this rush to action might cause complications. Perhaps it has nothing to do with your current situation. I'm not a doctor, so I'll defer to the opinion of your doctor.

Re: Becoming Bionic
I can agree with getting an opinion from a doctor........a doctor that can fix it, but it takes no degree to know you have one sad messed up dick and if you are not bright enough to figure it out your wife certainly can set you straight there. I have no doubt when a man says his pump is too high, it's too high as half cannot even pump it when it is or it it unsightly or gets in the way. I have no doubt when a man says his glans is floppy the damn thing is a dishrag. That said, it makes me very very happy for the ones who do have a good outcome. They are the winners of this phase of dick olympics. They don't have to deal with the pain, frustrations and emotions that those without successful have and I can sympathize with those who had a rough journey but have have reached their desired goal. Deciding, facing surgery, working out expenses and logistics, and the emotional part, the wait is not simply dropping a penny in a gum ball machine. For some it is the toughest thing they have ever dealt with, especially some of the young ones who are increasing in numbers. Look at the statistics. Face it. Our dicks are clunkers else we would not be here. Some of us have more rust than good sheet metal so restoration is quite a project.

Re: Becoming Bionic
I have talked with Dr. Kramer and he has agreed to do a pump revision, but he wants to wait a couple of months. I'd like to do it now if I could, and just get it over with. I'm going to hold off on posting much because things are still changing, and I lost a lot of my interest in updating on here. Sorry to say but I have found this whole process exhausting. I naively thought that getting an implant would eliminate my obsession with my penis, and this has not turned out to be true. So I'm trying to forget about it for now and just be happy with what I have. Thanks to everyone who read and supported me. I'll post again when I have substantial updates.

Re: Becoming Bionic
Just to be clear, I'm not upset with Kramer at all. I believe he is one of the best and he did everything he could for me. Also, I am fully aware that pulling the penis up also pulls the pump up. That's the only way I can show it in a photo, but even when it isn't pulled up, it is still too high. Here's a test for everyone: when you you grab the shaft of your penis, can you feel the pump rubbing up against the bottom of your hand? I can. I don't think that's quite right. I know that Kramer placed the pump low, but something in the very early recovery caused the pump to move and get stuck much higher. I can also feels the tubing at the right base of my penis. I know this could easily be fixed but I just don't want to have surgery again, naturally. We'll see.
