So happy for you Atul.

You have captured most of the ups and down post-surgery very accurately.
I tried inflating last night(not a smart idea) and today having some pain.

I am on the path to recovery and hopefully someday will be hearing the Superman compliment.

Hi Captain,

I recommend not to inflate deflate without a go ahead from your doc. Having said that, I was cleared to deflate at 2 weeks mark but I just could not. The pain was too high. But with help of a hot shower and some pain meds I could do it in the following week. Also I remember clearly how much my glans would pain after each inflation/deflation. It was too painful to cycle in the beginning. So it may feel like someone really kicked you hard. But don’t give up on cycling. It will eventually get better. I started with doing cycling for only 10-15 mins and slowly increased it. A hot shower and some painkiller will be your friends here!
Good luck. I will also reply to your PM soon.

Complete 5 months from date of surgery today.

Just last night I had the most intensive sex since I have started using it. It was about 3 weeks I had not used it for sex. We could go on for about 2 hours yesterday with 2-3 five mins breaks in between.

Tried new positions without any issues and the implant held well. The girl was obviously super happy and charged up. She had multiple orgasms. I am still not able to ejaculate but was very close to doing it last night.

I tried the Magnum L size condom which was much more comfortable than the regular size durex condoms. Also, use a vibrating cock ring which added a lot of excitement to the act.

Honestly we stopped only because we became exhausted and could no longer go on. Though I do feel some pain today in my shaft. I also found that the cylinders bent a little bit when the girl was on top and riding. So I had to add a couple more pumps. That is the best part of being bionic. You can start with a 60-70% inflation and then basis comfort keep pumping extra during the act.

Aside, yesterday I thought that my glans were not as engorged as they were the last time. I will add a dose of cialis before doing the next act and compare. I was cleared to have a low dosage of cialis regularly and a high dose on the day of sex. Kindly don't take this as a medical advise and consult your own surgeon before starting any medicine.

Also, I plan to cycle for another month and a half and then stop. This is again as per instructions given to me by Dr. Cordon. He said to cycle only for 6 months as he doesn't see any benefit beyond that. The pump feels much softer now. I still find that pumping up with 2 hands is ideal and that too in a standing position. I can pump up while lying down as well but it is difficult.

Update after 6 Months

Postby atul21 » Thu Aug 31, 2023 10:31 am

Just shy of 6 months post surgery.
I had a go at it again since my last post. The experience was great. I think I am now getting slowly used to the new implant life and it is a good thing.

Today I had an appointment with my Indian Urologist, Dr. Raman Tanwar. He examined me and was mostly happy with my results. He did mention that I do have a curvature of flaccid towards the right now (my peyronies was towards left). That was attributed by him to the fact that I was oversized. He also shared the viewpoint of Dr. Eid that I should have been given a 21cm implant instead of 22 cms. But he did say that he did not see much of an issue right now and for me to just be observant and look out for any pain/cylinder poking out etc. in tips. I don't see any problem as of now so I am relaxed. He examined the pump and wanted to inflate himself in order to feel how the pump gets refilled with saline. It seems by getting a feel of how the pump is filling up, they can check if there is a possible kink in the tubing. He said I have none.
He said I have very prominent dog ears which will continue to cause pain and that a smaller implant would have alleviated much of that.

I mentioned to him about the pain I feel in the scrotum and in the perineum area when I sleep as the pump presses against the skin. He said this pain is nerve related and prescribed me 'Pregabalin' for 6 weeks. He said the pain should improve with this.

I also mentioned that I have not been able to ejaculate while having sex but can ejaculate with masturbation. This he attributed to my brain still not adjusting and asking me to keep trying and said as sensitivity improves it should get better. He also prescribed me 'Imipramine' for 6 weeks to help with ejaculation. I will update this forum after a few weeks and share my findings. I was also prescribed multi-vitamins for long term.

Kindly don't take the above mention of medications as a medical advise and consult your own doctor!

I was asked one question on PM by a brother which I thought I will try to answer for the benefit of all.

How does one get to know whether the implant is inflated enough and ready for action? How would you know it is say 70% or 80% filled?
Ans- Well the % mentioned are just approximates for me. I usually inflate to a point that it feels hard but I am still able to move the shaft up-down and left-right a bit. I also observed that this point comes when I feel a slight 'pop' in my glans while inflating. The tips I think get hard/expand into the glans causing a small vibration or a pop. Once I get that I inflate slowly. Also I usually add 2-3 pumps during the act.

On a personal note, I also completed 1 year since my wife decided to leave me due to my ED issues and also because she felt I was too late in getting this treatment done. The relation became fractured and perhaps could have been saved had I acted earlier. That is one regret I will always have. I knew about implants since long time but I think I was just scared and living in denial. I am now finally divorced (signed papers 3 weeks ago). Anyone who is reading this and is facing relationship issues or confidence issues should consider consulting their doctor and try resolve their issues. The beast called ED can be taken care of! Don't lose your life over it!

Bye for now!

Absolutely so happy for you my brother! Glad you have overcome everything and are moving on with life!

I am sorry about your wife, but don't stress, you will find someone more supportive and considerate and deserving of you.

Wishing you more happy times to come (pun intended)!

Having used it a few more times in the last few days I can confidently say that having Tadalafil (Cialis) definitely helps with the glans engorgement. I usually eat 20 mg on the day a few hours before and it has worked really well. I will bring it to my doctor's notice and ask him if this is how it is going to stay life long or we can expect any improvement in natural glans engorgement.

Having Pregabalin for pain around the pump and scrotum has been quite helpful. I also eat Imipramine for help with ejaculation. But these medicines can cause extreme drowsiness specially in the first 3-4 days. But the pain which was causing me some trouble in scrotum is mostly gone.

I do get some soreness in the shaft after a session which stays for about a day. Not sure if that is normal or will improve with time.

I am happy to keep my journal updated whenever there is something meaningful to share. The updates may be slow in future. Though I will keep logging in and try to participate in various posts and help my fellow brothers.

Completed 7 months from the day of my surgery. Can’t believe how time flies. I was a total wreck and depressed man who had lost all his hope and had suffered so much personally and professionally. Having an IPP has changed my life for the better. Is it perfect? No, but it is the best possible solution given my circumstances.

I had a few more rounds of intense sex in last few weeks. I could ejaculate a couple of times so that doesn’t seem to be an issue (I could not ejaculate earlier)

I have also gained some size. I now measure almost 6 inches as against 5.5 inches post my surgery. So overall I have gained some size over my pre-op size now. All measurements are bone pressed.

I was advised to cycle for 6 months and have now stopped daily cycling. Only inflate it while using it.

I do find that the overall look of coloplast titan is not great as my shaft looks like a mangled wreck with a hard dog ears on the right side (looking from my side). I wonder how the Ams looks like. I may perhaps evaluate an AMS in future as I have read that the flaccid look and feel is Ams is much better. The girth of titan is great though. So much so in my case that I have had to buy Magnum L size condoms. But if a similar girth can be achieved in Ams, it would be a good choice.

Cheers and good luck to all those who are under recovery and to those planning surgery!

I asked this question specifically to Dr. Billy and he told me that their hospital has all sizes stock at all times. Good luck!

Lol I just asked Dr Clavell about this :)

Great! Given the high volumes of surgeries Dr. Clavell is doing, I am sure he has access to all the sizes at all times.
Another question to ask should be whether they have the option to discard a cylinder post implanting in case they feel a bigger/smaller size may be more suitable? This option is again available only to select surgeons who have a high volume and a good relationship with Coloplast. Dr. Eid has this and so did Dr. Cordon who did my surgery.
