Nothing to do with losing faith in him. Can't lose faith which I don't have in the first place. He did the sclerotherapy on me, but I had no knowledge or information about his skills as an implant surgeon. Hence I had no particular level of faith in his skills as an implant surgeon, and hence I couldn't lose it since I never had it.
I just wanted to pick the best implant surgeon in the world.
My research nailed it down to three guys, Eid, Kramer, Perito. Based on New York's better accesibility with the airlines I use, and his quick response time, Eid was my pick.
Kuehhas never came up during my research as an implant surgeon with world class reputation. Maybe he is world class, I don't know that. But I found no references indicating he would be.
Cost and inconveniance of travel was never part of the input to my decision. It was all about maximizing the chances to get the best possible result.
Simple as that.

Day 19 post op

Improvement continues.
Almost no pain at all. First day I wore jeans instead of the baggy sports pants I've been wearing every day since surgery.
Went out to a nearby restaurant for a meal and didn't get the pulsating pain. Stayed out (and hence upright) for roughly 45 minutes with no problem. Some discomfort at the end, but nothing I would call pain.

Continuing to cycle, today for 1.5 hours in total over two sessions. Got in a few more pumps than yesterday.
Will see Eid again tomorrow, hopefully for the last time...

Talked to my wife on the phone just now. She's still in Scandinavia and I'll see her in SE Asia on friday if all goes to plan.
That will be day 24, just over three weeks post op. I will have friday and saturday with her, and on sunday I need to go on a business trip for 5 days.
So we will see if the device is taken in to use on day 24 or 25 or if it must wait till day 31...
As it feels now, proper sex within 5 days won't really work.
I'll maybe just stick it in an inch for a few seconds to see that it works..!

Going to bed now at 5:40 pm in my quest to work my way back to Asian time.

my research was also Kramer, Perito, Eid in that order. Called the first guy and he basically called back right away, but that was my logic. all 3 do what's considered great work, obviously so do others.

I have been writing very personal and detailed about my process.
For three reasons, mentioned in no particular order:

It helped me going through the whole thing. It was, and still is to some degree, a way for me to deal with the tough times right after surgery. And it is a great documentation of the whole process which is interesting to go back to and remember what it was like.

A genuine will to spread information to others. I know I would have loved to read a journal like mine. I sure appreciated Pockie's detailed log book.

And finally, due to my shitty situation, alone in a hotel room on the other side of the planet from my home and my family over Christmas and New Years, I simply didn't have much else to do. It was/is a way for me to kill time.

Its been an interesting read your journal and it looks like you have made excellent progress thus far. I have a few questions for you that you may or may not be able to answer at this stage of the healing process?

1. Swelling aside do you think you have maintained your pre-opp length?
2. Have you seen an increase in girth?
3. Is the Titan the implant of choice for Dr Eid? I have read that Perito favours this product?
4. Did Dr Eid give a time scale with regards to when you can be assured that no infection will present itself?

1. At this stage - no. Or I guess it depends on how you look at it. My best possible erection, on a high dose of Viagra, when aroused, was 16.5 cm. An average one around 16 cm. A bad one was no erection and hence 0 cm usable erect length. Of 10 times, I probably had 16.5 cm twice, 16 cm six times and 0 cm twice. Average of this is is (2*16.5+6*16+2*0) / 10 = 12.9cm. Now it is 15 cm. So one way to put is that I am now 2.1 cm bigger. There is also an article (http://www.ajandrology.com/preprintarti ... ?id=163266) presenting results where 1-2 hours daily cycling for 24 months post op gave an average of 2.1 cm length increase at 24 months compared to immediately post op. All patients had the Titan. So if I followed that protocol and got average results, I'd end up at 17.1. I am ok.
Another interesting way to look at it is that I used to have 16 cm for 5 minutes, and then nothing. If I want to have sex for one hour it means I had an average of 1.33 cm per minute. Now I will have 15 cm lasting the whole hour. So 15 cm/min instead of 1.33 cm/min. 1128% bigger dick!!!

2. My best girth pre op, on viagra and aroused, was 14 cm. Its now 14.3 cm, so I have gained a little girth. The same article also presented girth increases of 1.4 cm on average from immediately post op to 24 months post op with daily cycling. So I would end up at 15.4 cm with average results from the cycling protocol (I have already gained 0.3 compared to immediately post op). So I am ok.

3. Eid told me a Titan is always his first choice for younger patients. He says it gives the best erection quality. Hardest and less wobbling. Main advantage of AMS is that has a softer, smaller flaccid state since the cylinders shrink in length when deflating (LGX). But Eid's experience is that most younger men prefer the best possible erection quality over the best possible flaccid quality. (I also heard that Kramer nowadays don't recommend the AMS LGX due to more than normal problems with that model. He seems to prefer the AMS CX).
But of course, chances are Eid's Titan preference is only due to that Coloplast offered him a better deal than AMS...

4. There is none. He said that most infectons show themselves during weeks 2-4 post op. But it can happen later. He was recently contacted by a patient who was implanted 10 years ago. He got infected now!

Overall I don't care much (almost to the point where I can say I don't give a shit) about whether my dick is 15 or 16 cm long and whether it is 14 or 14.5 in girth. I used to have a dick which didn't allow me to enjoy sex. If I have fixed that problem, then why the heck would I care about 1 cm more or less????
That is also why I deliberately made those creative length comparisons above. To make my point that I think it is weird to focus so much on length, when the dick's basic function of 'getting and maintaining an erection hard and long enough to enjoy sex' is not there in the first place.

Your journal is very informative to anyone who is faced with ED. Amazing how you worked everything out logically and came through with a realization in above quote. Hope you keep up your journal as you head home.
