Hey Frank, thank you! My bone-pressed VED pre-op was 6 inches. My bone-pressed Stretched Penile Length during pre-op was 5.6 inches, and now I have 5.6 inches. No idea about girth pre-implant.

In my recent appointment, I asked about size worries that most people have with malleables. He says to be mentally prepared to lose up to 10% of your size (length or girth). If you don't lose, more power to you.

On top of it, after 8 months/1-2 years, the tissue around the rods will relax and create some space, like our used shoes, in other words, the rods will act as a tissue expander. At that time, malleables won't expand to completely fill the corpora like the inflatables, and it will give a perception of loss of size and rigidity.

Excellent update, LastHope! Seems like you're getting back into the game with gusto!

you made the right decision, to have a IPP and it somehow fails,,, it's devastating both emotionally and physically.
I'm just over a year post op, and it feels more natural everyday, and I swear I'm getting in better shape and my cardio is thru the roof, I can go all day if I want.

Heck yeah man! Can't thank you enough for all the pep talks you've provided on this forum. Without your story, I might not have finally taken the plunge and gotten the malleable. Now I'm taking a different altogether type of plunge all the time, lol.

Good luck Frank with your upcoming surgery. Hope the pain caused by the tips disappears completely after your revision.

Thanks Duke and thedriver! Your support and encouragement means a lot.

Day 40:
Hey brothers, I wanted to give an update on my experience with the bending feature of my malleable rods.

So far, I’ve only been "positioning" it down toward my left thigh, which worked great for standing, walking and consealing, but I noticed a lot of discomfort while sitting with underwear on, as my shaft tends to point 45 degrees up.

I hopped into a hot bathtub and experimented with bending. Some prophylactic Ibuprofen helped combat the soreness while bending. Incision is fully closed and I was given the clearance to use hot tubs for not more than 15 minutes a day. The bend memory is decent, and this has noticeably increased my comfort level while sitting.

Here’s what worked for me:
1) Wrap the base of the shaft with your index fingers on the underside applying lateral pressure alongside the blue marking (pic attached) on the left and right edges of the rods.

2) Use the wrapped index finger as a support lever and with the other hand, bend it all the way down like a U shape forming an arc on the scrotum.

Now the rods are horizontal while sitting and not pointing towards the sky like a barrel of a military tank. This has increased my comfort levels by 2X while sitting.

I’ll keep testing this and report back if it works well.

PS:
The implant in the cartoon is ZSI 100 malleable by Zephyr Surgical Implants, a brand based in Switzerland.

excellent LastHope, you will surely find the right position for you, what matters now is that you don't feel any discomfort in the glans and the shafts, everything else will be resolved, now you are ready to take off in 40 days, thanks for the good wishes for my replacement from titan to cx, let's hope there are no problems of any kind this time

No matter what I do I cannot bend my Rigicon .. can bend it sideways a bit but not up and down .. going back to the dr. and going to make him contact FDA and list this as a failed device.
Rigicon since 6-2023 happy to share my experience and do show and tell

holy crap easymoney, don't tell me this doesn't work well either? hopefully it's a momentary thing, or the doctor can bend it so it makes a memory

Well it has been in since 6-2024 .. 8 months .. no bending ..the original implant was also a Rigicon I could bend it .. I'm pretty sure I was done by a "student" and even thought in the records it shows a Rigicon I think they put a tactra or an old stock spectra in my. I hope not because I'm going to get xrays of both types then get myself xrayed and pray it shows the tight implant .. I have lost most of my faith in the dr's and so called medical professionals being honest or professional. If it ends up being a Rigicon then it needs to be reported as a failed implant. I'm not getting a 4th surgery to replace it just for that ..

This is exactly why I am getting the Genesis. I haven't seen this problem with the Genesis....I have seen reports of the Genesis drooping and losing some of its memory, but not the concealment issues that the other 2 have

Sorry to hear about your bending experience, easymoney. Let us know how your appointment goes.

You were undersized on your first Rigi10. Maybe this undersizing has something to do with better bendability due to looser surrounding tissues.

If we look beyond the veil of marketing BS and surgeon's fancy rod bending demos on YouTube, excellent axial rigidity and stellar bend memory, once implanted, are like oil and water. Metallurgy has its limits.

Coloplast Genesis is also 20 years old and starting to show some teeth. Are they ever going to do a model refresh to fix fatigue failure issues such as this one below? Even their 2004 release had nothing but an addition of hydrophilic coating on their uncoated 1998 Mentor Accuform malleable. Go figure!

FDA Adverse Event Report Number
2125050-2023-00913
Report Date:
11/03/2023
Event description:
According to available information, this device required replacement due to a wire break.
Notes by Coloplast:
Examination of the device revealed that rod 1 was unable to maintain the retention angle. The rod was bent in four directions into approximately 45-degree angle but did not hold angle. With use over time, the coil inside the device may fatigue which could result in the loss of angle retention. Based on the testing, it was confirmed that the inner core of rod 1 most likely fractured.
