That’s a good decision. You might consider working on your head and get it straight before you work on your penis. I have read most of your post and like some others have said, you’re not ready to take this step. This surgery will not make you into a good human being,it will not change you into to something you are not. There is more to being a man than a relatively small dangling appendage. To say on a public forum that you would consider taking your own life if your dick was gone. This indicates someone other than a URO needs to be talked to. This forum prides itself on being supportive of everyone that post on it, and it has been a great help to many of us. Please get the help you need.

Yes, I probably could wait a few years for an implant. I think I'm pretty mentally with it. Just think how scary it would be to be a guy young 20's without a proper dick. That prohibits you from having a good relationship, kids, etc. Plus you'd be reminded of it every day. As far as what's wrong with me, they did the injection test and after like 15 mins my dick got decently big but didn't feel like a true hard on I would get as a little kid
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills

The fact that your uro says he didn’t see a problem is a red flag. I don’t understand how he can say this when an injection did not produce a raging hard on.

Baseballfan11,
You say you feel mentally with it for an implant, but if you go back and look at all of your posts, you have had a roller coaster of emotions suggesting you aren’t. You really need to find out the exact cause of your ED. If you got an erection from an injection, it doesn’t always rule out a VL. When I was objected I was laying on my back and got hard. My issue, caused by a VL was anytime I got up, rolled over, etc. it went soft.

Whether you like the idea of injections or not, if they work, you should certainly consider them before even considering an implant. Exhaust all of the possibilities out there to get you penis working before thinking about implants. If the day comes when you have tried everything and if nothing has worked, then you stop being afraid of the thought of an implant and see it as your salvation. You stop focusing on what could go wrong if you get an implant and instead focus on the miracle of what an implant can provide that your natural penis is not giving you.

Continue to seek help to find out what is wrong and look at the various options available to help you. It sucks that you are young and single and have to go through this, but the reality is you are in that situation. Keep your head up and do everything in your power to make it right.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Unmarried yes, single no. And I must not have venous leak since the erection (as shitty as it is) doesn't go away when I stand

My perspective is: Due to medical issues, I am unlikely to have a very long life. I will probably be dead by my 60s if not before. And a debilitating stroke before then is not out of the picture.

So, what I really fear is dealing with mediocre to poor erections for a decade or more while waiting for the “payoff” of a working implant and great, worry-free sex like when I was in my 20s... and then having a stroke, or dying, in my fifties.

That, for me, is a far more realistic fear.
Genetically sky-high Lp(a) of 390 led to various heart diseases. Ultra-low testosterone of 120 (now 480 with Clomid) also contributed to ED at age 41. Managing with daily Cialis, but for me, the implant is a "when", not an "if".

Here is a scary story for you - imagine you lose ten, twenty years of your life to waiting until you become completely impotent. Then, just before you get your implant, you are in a fatal car accident.

This is probably MORE likely to happen than you getting an implant now and ending up getting your dick cut off.
