Really appreciate the feedback, Tangerine. I'm available for others' questions any time. It's a huge decision.

Re: Reflections 18 months post-Implant
Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I updated things here. In fact I haven't been on the site in quite a while. I was told my 18-month update was very helpful. I forgot what else I've posted but just in case, here goes:
The Ugly:
* 2 months before my 2-year implant anniversary my Coloplast Titan failed. I was pretty devastated. It happened over a couple days. Suddenly when I was pumping the pump went soft. It was a clear 'uh oh' moment. When that happens you're screwed. They can't cut you open to see what's wrong. Fortunately Dr. Eid had an opening in his schedule and last December I had a new one put in.
* Needless to say that sucked royally going through major surgery again. It's hard to know what caused it, but I exercise a lot and fear that burpees may have been the reason. I did a lot of them over the 2 years. I'm now really careful not to lie on a hard floor face down, which is a bummer exercise-wise, but not worth the risk
* My new implant Titan 22, no RTE (previous one had 2 cm RTE) seems to get a bit bunched up when I'm pumping so I can't pump it part way and fool around a while and then finish pumping while playing. The bulge on the side is too noticeable for that (assuming you don't want your partner to know you have an implant).
* Still not the best flaccid; big bulge that can look like I have a boner if not careful
The Good:
* Sex on command still
* Zero stress about will I get it up or not
* Cock looks great
* Didn't lose length (maybe 1/4 inch between the two); more girth when flaccid, same old girth when pumped
* Continued confidence boost
Hope that helps. Hit me up any time with questions.
TG

Sorry to hear about the failure, I dread that day myself.TitanGuy wrote:Hope that helps. Hit me up any time with questions.
Here's a few questions if you don't mind:
1. What exactly failed, pump, tubing, cylinder?
2. Did Dr Eid have any theories as to why it failed or any advice on how to prevent failures?
3. How did Dr Eid handle the revision, replace the entire implant, or just do a repair?
4. Did the revision cost less than the original surgery? Did Coloplast warranty the failed implant?
Tnx. -Ww

Re: Reflections 18 months post-Implant
Hi Warren: Thanks for the reply. See answers below your questions
1. What exactly failed, pump, tubing, cylinder?
The tubing failed. Eid was never quite explicit in how exactly it might have done so.
2. Did Dr Eid have any theories as to why it failed or any advice on how to prevent failures?
Sadly no, he just said it happens sometimes which is scary. I get the sense Coloplast might not be the best quality frankly. At one point the division was for sale, not sure if still the case but this isn't a big strategic focus for the company clearly.
3. How did Dr Eid handle the revision, replace the entire implant, or just do a repair?
He said the only safe thing to do was to replace the entire implant
4. Did the revision cost less than the original surgery? Did Coloplast warranty the failed implant?
I'm not totally sure what Coloplast vs. my insurance paid. I had to pay about $1,500 out of pocket.
Tnx. -Ww
TitanGuy wrote:1) In terms of erection quality, I'd say fairly similar. In terms of feelings, the implant is not quite the same, not quite as sensitive.
I must ask, why is the implant less sensitive? A few people make this comment, I wonder how bad it is.
The corpus cavernosum doesn't have any nerves in it right? So loss of sensitivity must just be because of changes in the skin. Right?
I suspect the perenial nerve along the bottom of the shaft gets hurt, during peniscrotal surgery. Is that it?

Hi,
I’m really sorry to hear that you had to have a 2nd surgery. I’m curious.
Why did Dr. Eid use RTE on you? During my consult with him, he said he doesn’t like to use them...

Hi TitanGuy,
I'm 15 months post implant with a Titan too. My journey along the Bionic Brotherhood is very much like yours. I remember learning a lot from your posts along with the other champions who contributed - big up yourself for sharing this info which will no doubt be invaluable to many out there.
I still check in at least once or twice a week to read and sometimes put my 2c worth in to hopefully help some brother.
Hi Titanguy,
I'm scheduled for my Titan on 5/16 by Dr. Sadeghi-Nejad just across the Hudson from De. Eid.
Thank you for sharing. I would rather have my 7" girthy cock from 20 years ago, but ED and MS took that away 10 years ago. Yes, I'm looking forward to having sex again, but just knowing that my cock can support my libido anytime and anywhere has risen my confidence in every aspect of my life including my work.[/quote
what was your experience with the Titan in the flaccid state? I am getting one too.

Photos 1-year post-Implant Revision
Hi Everyone, So based on some questions, here are some photos I just took fully flaccid. This is probably the 'softest' state. Sometimes it points upward more when deflated than in these photos but here you go. Note you can see the pump from one side and that because of the pump, everything is pushed forward more.
