Just a note about chance of infection for those who are going to receive the implant: I have a liver trasplant, so I take inmunosupressors for avoid the reject of my liver. Because that medication my defense system is under normal parameters, and I have much more chances of infections than 'normal' people.
My surgery was on 12th September this year, and I haven't had any problem with infection. Just take the pills the doctor tell you (antibiothics) and be very carefull with the surgical wound. Don't touch it when take care of it, keep it hided with bandage and the medicin the doctor tells you, don't let it get wet until the doctor tells you can.
It is really difficult to have infection if you follow the instructions.
