He is not a big fan of using VED with the implant, which I know varies with other high-volume docs. He thought you got an implant, so you don't need to do anything else. He also said you don't concern yourself with ED anymore. Just use your penis for urination and sex. Go live your life and concentrate on other things. That was a good conversation.

Before surgery I had frequent urination. I would wake up five or six times at night to urinate. Last night, only once. No question that the surgery resolved that issue too.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

A brief update. Five days post surgery and I am just feeling minor pain, just using Advil for pain. I am heavily bruised on scrotum and shaft, but I am able to move around without too much trouble.

Showered again last night and I was able to feel the landmarks of the pump. Optimistic that each day will get a little easier and easier.

Dr. Clavell did mine the day before you, so I'm one day ahead of you in recovery. I'm still sore but the pain seems to be easing up a bit today. Getting up from a seated position is not fun but tolerable.

Glad to hear your recovery is going so well. Keep us updated.

Almost 2 weeks for you as of today Stuffasarus. Are you chronicling your experience elsewhere? Mine is Jan 4 w Dr. Clavell. How’s it going?

Wow. This is turning into a Dr. Clavell thread. So, for you fellas that just got implanted, did you click on the last link on those series of videos he sent to your phone to register your implant? I did and you don't actually register anything, if you fill out that personal information, all they do is send you another copy of the Boston Scientific patient guide without the ID and Lot numbers for each piece of your implant.
I'm on Day 13. I still have a little swelling in the scrotum, but I can make out the parts of the pump. It's sideways and the deflation button is facing right. I can move my penis around and tuck it up against my body just fine now. There's no longer any pain when doing so. Almost all of the bruising is gone, and I can't feel the cylinders anymore. Almost feels natural. I started worrying yesterday that I might be deflating a bit. My penis became a more pliable than before and seems a bit smaller. I think it's mainly because the swelling is gone around the cylinders though... which makes sense. When I squeeze both cylinders, they still feel fairly hard. My mind, like most, goes towards the worst-case scenario.
I would have really appreciated getting the email addresses of the other patients in the pre-op room the week I was at the medical center. Not only is this a scary thing for guys to go through but it's also kind of lonely. FrankTalk is nice but it's even better to have someone to talk to who's going through the exact same thing at the same time. -Cat.

68CatFan, I clicked on the last link on the videos he texted. I was surprised to see Boston Scientific since I have a Titan!!

I am glad to hear your bruising is gone, and there is almost no pain. Five days post-op, the bruising covers my scrotum and the side of my penis. The pain is light, not nearly as bad as I feared. You are right, and we naturally go to the worst-case scenario.

Interesting point. I have younger kids. When I got home on Friday evening, I told them I had a procedure around my privates and couldn't leave them, etc. Almost no pain remained, and I could attend a basketball game at the end of the week, a dance competition, and dinner with friends the next day. My point is that I thought I would be in pain, and all I could do was be bedridden. That wasn't the case, but I know not to overdo anything.

This is my 6th day post-op and the pain is subsiding. I couldn't imagine wearing pants and underwear at this point. I have mostly been staying indoors in very loose sweatpants. I am worried, because later this week, I need to go into the office.

I think I should be a bit farther along in the recovery process than I feel I am. But I'm giving it time. Are we to stay inflated for the entire 6 weeks? At what point do we start cycling?

A significant part of the pain came when my underwear or jog pants pulled the glans inward. It really hurt at the tips. When we went out, I kept my left hand in my pocket and pushed my penis inward in the middle of the shaft to keep it from hurting. On day 12 the pain ceased and now I can wear underwear or jog pants and feel very comfortable. Remember, Dr Clavell wants you to let it hang while you're at home.
At 6 weeks you should have a telehealth appointment with Dr. Clavell where he will have you deflate and begin cycling. I have seen where previous patients have started cycling sooner. If your incision is fully healed and you can readily access the pump, I believe you can send him a picture of your scrotum and he may give you the green light.
I can feel my pump pretty well and I'm surprised how low it is. It's all the down in my taint. I'm hoping that I can begin cycling sooner than six weeks.
