I suspect he's seeing more post-op complaints with the 13mm diameter. Research data from the Middle East shows higher satisfaction rates with 9mm and 11mm, while anecdotal reports from Brazilian surgeons suggests better experience with 13mm.

Dr. Perito mentioned in one MTP episode that aggressive sizing may result in longer duration (6 months) of post-op pain. In the long run, the girth will be great, but the initial adjustment period will be difficult.

It's important to strike a balance with malleable rods.
Size aggressively, but not oversize, seems to be the mantra. Here's where surgical skills plays a critical role.

I’m on the side of the Brazilians here. My girth isn’t remarkable , but still just mentally hearing 13mm rod makes the patient happier. It’s the same as Titan XL- is it really that much bigger? No. But the patient is happier.

Their point wasn’t about the appearance of girth, the larger diameter is less prone to buckling, less likely to fracture, and provides more firm volume.

TheDongDangler ... I had my webbing removed when they did the 2nd surgery thinking I had an infection ..I like it keeps my balls from hanging so low and makes the implant look larger ..

That’s great. Dr. Carrion gave a presentation on ventral phalloplasty at a recent SMSNA conference. It really improves the optics.

That’s interesting actually.so there could be a medical reason behind me going to a 13. I Know I could have fit a 13 but my glans penis was too small. I know especially at my age (23) it won’t be too tough I hope a revision. I’m scared of revisions after hearing easy money challenging experience and Perito is against revisions.

When I lie down, it presents nicely and looks very long as yours does

I don't blame you. Surgeons tend to be cautious with revisions since each one can increase the odds of infection. You might want to look up implant biofilms, no one wants to stir up a sleeping tiger right? Every situation is still unique though, so it's really important to have an in-depth conversation with your trusted surgeon about the risks and benefits for addressing the concerns.
