Public healthcare covers everything so that I didn't have to pay a penny. Private insurance? I don't know tbh.
In my country we have also good public healthcare. I can get a heart transplant or cancer treatment for free but it is very rare that somebody gets penis implant. At least you must be very young for that.
What is your age and what is the main reason for your ED?
It's really strange that they cover implants in Germany because PDE-5-Inhibitors (Sildenafil, Tadalafil etc.) and injections are NOT covered by publich health insurance despite being meds to obviously treat the exact same indication.
34, diagnose is venous leakage.
Cause is not really known. There was a minor sex accident arround the time everything started which might have contributed to the leakage but it's more than unclear.
In France it’s about the same thing, implants are almost entirely covered by social security. You may have to pay the surgeon’s and anesthesiologist’s fees if it’s a private clinic, but it won’t exceed 3k€ and if you have a good “mutuelle” (additional health insurance paid by many employers) this is covered.
Pills aren’t covered by social security (maybe by some mutuelles by I doubt it), while injections are reimbursed on a low basis (maybe 20-25%).
