Public healthcare covers everything so that I didn't have to pay a penny. Private insurance? I don't know tbh.

In my country we have also good public healthcare. I can get a heart transplant or cancer treatment for free but it is very rare that somebody gets penis implant. At least you must be very young for that.

What is your age and what is the main reason for your ED?

It's really strange that they cover implants in Germany because PDE-5-Inhibitors (Sildenafil, Tadalafil etc.) and injections are NOT covered by publich health insurance despite being meds to obviously treat the exact same indication.

34, diagnose is venous leakage.
Cause is not really known. There was a minor sex accident arround the time everything started which might have contributed to the leakage but it's more than unclear.

In France it’s about the same thing, implants are almost entirely covered by social security. You may have to pay the surgeon’s and anesthesiologist’s fees if it’s a private clinic, but it won’t exceed 3k€ and if you have a good “mutuelle” (additional health insurance paid by many employers) this is covered.

Pills aren’t covered by social security (maybe by some mutuelles by I doubt it), while injections are reimbursed on a low basis (maybe 20-25%).

Small Update Day 10:

Last night I woke up a bit soaked, was freezing and had significantly bigger pain than I had in the last days.

Took two Tilidin today to keep pain at bay. That did work while lying down but not while standing up. Here I feel immense pressure/pain from the pump on my scrotum, wasn't like that before.

Also tonight subfebrile temperatures are back, like I had them on day 2 and 3 in the hospital.

Scared to death of infection so I popped a Xanax and in the morning I'll be on my way to the hospital.

Sounds reasonably fair considering some countries pay nothing at all.r

Hope the pain was nothing. Remember - you are still EARLY in the healing process. Some guys have pain well through week 4 or 5. Everyone is different.

Crossing my fingers for you!

Thanks SWorks, thanks equusAz :)

This community is so freaking awesome. Such a big resource of information and you members are also very reassuring, calming and just all in all nice folks!
It's especially helpful for guys that are single and have to go through a lot of that journey on their own.

Big, big thanks for that!

Update Day 12

I've been to the hospital yesterday after one very rough day with much more pain than before and subfebrile temperatures.

Two Doctors checked up on me. Checked the incision site, palpated all implant parts, stomach and testes performed ultra sound twice and couldn't find a thing.
Before even doing blood works the doctor told me if leukocytes would be high he'd bet there's a totally different infection in the body causing it because everything looks and palpates perfect.
Blood works came out perfect 1h later.

So I will have to accept the pain (this night was very bad again) and chill my mind.
Unfortunately I'm a bit of an anxious guy which doesn't help but I'm trying now to focus on banging girls as long as they want in the near future.

Heh - if you haven't had surgery before, this is the absolute worst part of healing --- waiting. Banging your knee, or cutting your hand - the healing can be done in a few days right? Not with surgery like this. WEEKS before you are normal again. Make that plural weeks and more than 2 to be sure!

I've had my fair share of surgeries before - worst was back surgery - I had three laminectomies before a final spinal fusion - healing time from the first surgery to post fusion was about 2 years. LOL. But once I was healed, all was better.

Yeah - absolutely can happen and cause a scare for sure. Glad you got in to see them and got a clean bill of health!

Hang in there!

Did a quick google for your back surgeries. Indeed this doesn't sound like fun but after surgeries of that kind you would expect to be heavily immobilized... not necessarily two years though
Cool you healed nicely!

Still! Got my sick note until Monday 6th and it's just impossible to be at work next week which involves a mix of standing and walking sometimes 10 hours a day.
Right now I can't even prepare food for myself because standing up from the couch triggers a countdown of one minute after which pain gets excrutiatingly bad and I need to lay down again asap or pain stays for hours again. Also I am on a high dose of narcotic every day (one of the weaker opioides but still a an opioide).

Being not chronically ill, not overweight but sporty, non smoker, non drinker and vegetrarian I can conclude: My healking sucks big time.

But it is what it is. Happy not having an infection and now I will stop the whining until the next update which should be positive.

fl1pstar wrote:Got implanted early friday morning in Germany with Coloplast Titan Touch 20cm + 1 cm RTE. (Dr. Leiber-Caspers).

Friday and Saturday were brutal pain wise and I needed heavy opiod medication like Dipidolor. But it got better from day to day. Big let down was sufebril temperature I got early Saturday evening which went up to 38.3 Grad Celsius. I totally obsessed about losing the implant before even having a chance to use it the night sleep was pure horror.

Sunday morning the temperature was only subfebril again and now I'm fine. Soreness is still heavy but manageable, walking is hard and looks like I got hit by a truck. Still i wanna leave the hospital tomorrow, room neighbours are nice but snoring like hell hounds.

But the moment I saw the fully pumped dick the first time on saturday after docs removed pressure tape was so fucking great. Looked exactly like my old dick but seriously girthier, def. some swelling but I think I'm gonna be so happy with it. Lengthwise looked about the same like my old dick.

Was an avid reader here in the months before being implanted! Thanks for all the usefull information.

Congratulations.

Keep that ice near and just lay low for a few days.
You are thru the worst of it.

It will be crummy for another week, so keep ahead of the discomfort with those painkillers they gave you.

You'll be fine.

Update Day 30

The pain startet to get better around day 20, most importantly while standing and walking which helped a lot with daily chores.
I got back to work just a few days ago. Day 1 was rough especially in the evening after mostly walking and standing for 12 hours. But that got better too.
At most times I am pain free now besides from working, here I have some kind of constant discomfort from the trousers I'm wearing but it's manageable.

Concerning size:

In the last weeks I somehow lost 0,4 inches flaccid size which makes me 4,7 inches flaccid (!) right now.
My pre ED erect size was 6,1 inches.
I'm praying that inflating and cycling will bring back that 1,5 inch difference in a reasonable amount of time if at all

Activation appointment is dated in two and a half weeks.

Thank you man, you were right. One week after my last post the pain got considerably better.

But I wouldn't say one is through the worst now. Yeah, the pain is way better sometimes gone but I gets replaced by those intrusive and nagging size concerning thoughts.

I can safely say this implant journey is an absolute horror on so many levels and I wish I could've been spared with all of that.
