1) Surgeon's clinic/office procedure (cash payment): $22,000
2) Hospital facility procedure (insurance billed): $91,000

Thanks! Is it not possible to opt for the clinic procedure on #1 but try to get that approved through the insurance company? Seems like that would be the safest option.

It depends on the surgeon, mine said the office procedure is cash pay only for private insurance folks. Definitely check with your surgeon.

I have BCBS out of GA and it was paid, I was aboyt $4500 out of pocket, which was wht my deductible.
Before surgery I used pills and injections for about 18 months and had documentation from my doctors that I had exhausted other means. Also, We documented my aggressive Peyronies and heart issues to bolster the medical need. Have you done the same? Make sure to push on the grounds of medical condition and be able to prove it.
One of the reasons I used Hakky, beyond reputation, was his office staff’s tenacity and acumen in working with the insurance company. Are you using him?
