Sir...these studies are sponsored by coloplast and boston scientific..even if not they would be investigated by affiliated surgeons...the most warm hearted and honest of these would think why not boast the numbers so the patient won't be scared especially if there is nothing to be done except implantation...or there will be no medical advancement in terms of training if we stood still without fostering implantation...and that's the most sympathetic of them with the purest intentions (a white lie for greater good from their perspective) ...the rest think about it money wise mostly nothing else ...I'm a doctor and I'm telling you how doctors really think(either the capitalist or the communist or a mix of both worlds)....
I see you are newly implanted and the odds I believe are high on your favour but not the bullshit numbers of studies of 99.9999 thing( and not any way close) and perito's rediculous statement of 1% per year...
I know you are newly implanted and i shouldn't say this but I felt obliged to let upcomming implantees have a more informed consent...
As Dr.Raphael said malleables aren't second option they are first..so patients can get a more informed consent.

There is another paper that analyzes failed implants and provides much better data. Again, it's not about surviving implants; the study focuses solely on failed implants. This also doesn't provide clues about lifespan, as tempting as it may be to derive a number.
Median time/range for revision (of failed devices):
Coloplast: 4.8 yrs (3.4 - 6)
Boston Scientific: 3.6 yrs (1.7 - 8.3)

Last hope cuold you share the full study if you have access to it?
It's behind a paywall. I hope these images help you my friend.

navy6587 wrote:adkd & lasthope...interesting data. Thanks!! More interesting is that when I got out of my Matrch 4th bladder cancer TURBT w/chemo procedure and follow-on 4 day stint in the hospital due to complications with catheter clogging because of blood clots, my Titan pump was non-functional. Since I have been losing weight too, my reservoir tubing that runs over my pubic bone seems kinked or at least sharply bent. So, I'm currently stuck with whatever fluid was/ is in my cylinders and the inability to get hard. My pump stopped working a year or two ago but I was able to bring it back to life until now. Guess my bionic run is over...
By the way bud ,it might be late now , but you could check out ivermectin and fenbendazole curing cancer . IT is not promoted because its cheap and not profitable enough to patent . fenbens became well known when joe tippins used it as a last resort for his death sentence of cancer - long story .
He was ridden full of tumors as well . .3 months on fenbens and all was cured , not in submission . That was 2016ish ? he is still alive today .
i myself had a bad bout with kidney stones and later had a ct scan to find out I had a tumor on my left kidney . They wanted to cut out the kidney ,
i remembered joe tippins story and got some fenbens , took it for 3 months , then had an ultrasound to look for the tumor , the doctor tried ,but could not find it . i still have my kidney . Just a thought ,if you have more trouble . it might be worth looking into .

tooyoung,
Yes you are correct, the odds are high in my favor. That comes from good information and research as part of the decision making process.
