Part of me tries to think that If I keep working at it i could make it back on my own, slowly improving.

I've let this this lingering thought stop me for the past 5 years. I know I can never return to strong natural erections that can penetrate with mutual satisfaction, but I sometimes think if I rest my penis enough, drink enough water, eat well, sleep well and do cardio then my penis will be good enough again for satisfying masturbation and oral sex.

Good Morning, Gents.
Exactly one week ago I was in a gown waiting for my 11:00 surgery. (My GF suggested it was significant that I got it on hump day.) It's been an interesting week, what with my blue grapefruit sized scrotum and really powerful ache. Both seem to lessen a little bit daily, but are certainly taking their time about going away.
I didn't poop until day 5, which was starting to worry me. That evening I went out to pick up some Miralax, but on the way home decided to try a remedy my late wife and I always counted on: Taco Bell. Ate half a burrito on the way home. Half an hour later it was mission accomplished. 3 more since then, all healthy looking and devoid of pain.
Talked to the PA yesterday in follow up. Looks like I got an AMS 700 CX, 21cm + .25. (RTE figure seems strange, put that's what the PA read off.) No catheter or drain. Burning while peeing is almost gone. Follow-up Exam set for next Tuesday.
I know from flexing my pc muscle I still have some sexual sensation down there, so I figure that's a positive. I have thus far avoided infection, which is also a positive. Pain and swelling receding as noted above, albeit slowly. I am choosing to ignore how bruised and misshapen everything is down there and just trust in the healing process. I figure I already had a non working penis, so worst case is I'm where I started. I have surprisingly little fear or remorse at this point. This is the road I'm on now, and I will travel it with full commitment.
I am thankful to the forums for letting me know that the pain and swelling are a part of the deal. I do wonder why My Dr. chose the CX over the LGX, and I'm definitely going to ask him.
I would love to hear anyone's experience with the AMS 700 CX.

Suchasmed1, I think they gave you a CX because you probably had a longer dick, distally.
I was supposed to have got the CX, but they changed it to the LGX during surgery.
It could have also to place the pump better in my scrotum.
My internal measurements were 11cm distal and 10cm proximal. He gave me a 18cm LGX with 3cm rear tip extenders.
Maybe your distal measurement is a lot longer than your internal proximal measurement. In that case you would need stiffer cylinders to hold up the Bionic weapon. Lol

I was supposed to have got the CX, but they changed it to the LGX during surgery.
It could have also to place the pump better in my scrotum.

--The day plus one. Pudenda (fat pad) swole out, as did the ball sac. Turned purple/Blue and swelled up toward grapefruit size. (at least is felf that way.) Icing off and on. As of this morning the swelling went down some. After being up and down for a time it swelled some more, so i just iced it. So swelling seems controllable.
As of now, I have yet to need pain meds. There are twinges getting up and down, and I'm starting to get a little achiness in the tip. But it just ain't that bad. I'm also peeing straight , and when I flex my pc muscle I feels like I still have sensation in the glans.

So far, I kinda feel like pinching myself. It seems like I'm getting the better case scenarios in a lot of things, knock on wood.Due to the swelling there's not a lot sticking out, visibly right now, but I know where the puibic bone is and I think ive got something usable to start out with.

For whatever it's worth Perito taught me to very deeply press into and massage the fat pad. I dug in til it hurt and massaged in 5 minute increments. He told me it would help healing the scar and reducing inflammation. I was persistent and hated doing it but it did work. He told me that if I didn't do it that the fat pad would remain and my implant would appear shorter. He was right. If you do it do it til it hurts so this way you know that you are breaking up any scar tissue.I don't see anyone posting about this method.

SWorks17, the cx is fantastic, round like a natural dick, no one could say that there is something strange there, the external skin of the dick is soft, the only strange thing is its hardness, mine is harder than the titan I had, I can tell you that there is no comparison, there are many people who are counts of the titan, which I respect, obviously I speak for myself, currently however I see it shorter than the titan, I hope it can lengthen with cycling, I must say that I am a little swollen where the infrapubic incision was made, at the moment I am very happy with the exchange, I would like to ask users who have a cx how many minutes it takes to swell it like a rock

Actually, no Docs post surgery. I came to about 3 hours after I was wheeled out, Doc Gone. I discovered I had an AMS 700 CX 21mm from the PA on a Tuesday Followup with his PA. Don't actually have the Distal vs Proximal breakdown.

Thank you for this. I had watched a lot of Dr Perito's vids and this is the first I've heard of this. It seems logical. Given that only my glans has been protruding from the now quite swollen fat pad (pudenda?) I feel I'm gonna need all the space I can get in front of my pubic bone.
As of this morning, Day 8, a little of the shaft has begun to show, and I can now feel separate shapes inside my scrotum. (No, I haven't started squeezing anything yet!) Incremental decrease of the aching has also continued. Still moving gingerly, but starting to feel more normal. Trying to be cautious, and avoid setbacks.
