My 2 cents on this...
All things being equal, in a large study population of these surveys, girth may have an association with partner satisfaction due to increased vaginal wall stimulation, which complements penile stimulation. After a woman has given birth to 3 kids, her expanded vagina seems to appreciate girth more, and it enhances penile stimulation as well. If residual vascular engorgement increases girth, it enhances partner satisfaction. So, satisfaction is also subjective and tied to an individual’s residual vascular health.
The happy path, I’d like to say in crude terms, is “malleable girth augmented by your own bloody hydraulics,” for lack of a better scientific term.
Inflatables have a higher partner satisfaction rate because they maintain greater girth by bypassing the unpredictability of residual engorgement, on top of the rods, which is subjective to an individual’s residual vascular flow.
I’m unsure whether the manufacturers and surgeons who write these papers and fund these studies also have survey participants complete satisfaction questionnaires following a mechanical malfunction. Such an event could even tip the scores. Not trying to say that its all fun until the fun ends.
The types of patients who are recommended a malleable in the west where these surveys are conducted are also different (Quoting Coloplast: A solution for patients with finger or hand dexterity issues, hand muscle fatigue, limited reach and range of mobility...blah blah blah....). That's a completely different type of patient and partner sampling and wouldn't offer a fair apples to apples comparison.
These studies are confounded by selection bias and not like a randomized controlled trial.
For those with a decent vascular health or with a fleshy or naturally girthy penis with decent padding of smooth muscles, malleable has the potential to offer great satisfaction and vice versa.
