How long did you have to keep your dick pointing upwards post op?

So uncomfortable getting around like this together with associated healing discomfort.
I'm over it, but anticipating the reward at the end is keeping me going.
I'm wearing stretchy but fairly tight briefs that help keep my junk in position but it's still awkward.
Letting everything hang doesn't feel that much better anyway. So I continue to point skyward .

How long did everyone else have to put up with similar and what did you do to cope, or at least take your mind off it?

Unlike many of you here I was not inflated at all. It was maybe 2-3 weeks before trying inflation on my own. Perito inflated one week after my surgery and it was so painful he had to stop. I see that many are inflated post surgery. All I know is that from what I hear, most are inflated. 2 years in here and all is very well.

I'm 5 weeks in and a bit disappointed with the angle of my erection. It really hurts to move my penis up or to the sides, both when erect and flaccid. I'm wearing my junk "skyward" when flaccid and it seems that the pain is lessening. That might just be healing.

As I remember it was only 4days then the nurse practitioner deflated me. I went back in 7days and he showed me how to cycle and gave me a regime

Did he leave you partly inflated straight after surgery, until activation? If yes, how difficult was it to point it down during that period of time?
I agree that it will be better pointing down, eventually, once it's activated and I no longer have a 24x7 erection. I can then fully deflate it and only inflate for sex, or for cycling the implant.

I was partly inflated right after surgery, maybe in total for two days, until they removed the urinary catheter. Sorry, but after 10 years I have forgotten the finer details. In the meantime the implant has become a part of my body. I rarely think of it at all.

6 weeks. I hated this practice tbh.

what did you do to cope, or at least take your mind off it?

Took pain meds and used a 4 inch wide elastic band that was cut out from a jock strap.

If I let it hang, the fucking thing was swelling with edema near the incision line, so I didn't have an option. I will never agree to a subcoronal incision ever again. This incision should be contraindicated for uncircumcised patients in my opinion.

Sorry you had to go through that. Yes I'm no fan of being left inflated either but hoping the end result is worth it.

Good to hear :). Seems most are left inflated for a period, but not all.

Thanks. I wish I could say I have that problem :). Happy if I get back to where I was though.

Could be. I complained to my uro practice nurse last week about pain/stinging in my stitches. She said that it can sometimes be 6 weeks or more before they fully dissolve/resorb and the incision healing is complete. Hang in there.
