Hello bud , i have a tactra and i cant recall any buckling . i see you had 13mm rods as well . is the length causing the buckling ? What was the over length of your tactra .? I believe (and hope) that the buckling I experienced was related to how my tissues were post-infection. I didn't have alot of rigidity (not necessarely in the shaft) but at the base (proximal part), and some angles made this lack of axial rigidity very prominent.

Girth wise, with natural tumescence enhanced/preserved by a cockring, I don't recall losing much girth with the Tactra. I don't have measurements from back then, but length was definitely hit, as I went from 25cm with my first implant, to 26cm from the revision, back to 23cm post-infection, and that was fine. The most important for me is/was the rigidity and performance of the implant.

Was the surgeon the same? Could his technique in installation be faulty? I’m just trying to find a common denominator to the failures other than the obvious — the Titan itself.

The surgeons were not the same, so we can safely eliminate them as potential points of failure. Both were the highest volume IPP surgeons in my country, and both were/are very good. As far as I can tell, I cannot fault them at all.

That moment when it go's, you know, what a fucked feeling,,, and yeah it's your tubing that let loose somewhere, 2 years is pretty good, thats the longest my IPP went, and yeah its probably the rough sessions that made it blow, but what the fuck ???? do they get there supply of IPP's thru the DOLLAR STORE ?
I wouldn't go with another IPP if my life depended on it,, which one of those surgeries could have taken out anyone of us at anytime.
I'm perfectly happy with my MPP and we can get as rough and fucking wild as we want, I don't have any problem with buckling or stowing it away, only lost a 1/2 inch of girth, I think they expect people too fuck like preachers, then put it away and maybe use it again next week,,, not my style,,,, so fuck them IPP's for me.....
Tough decision brother, I lost all kinds of sleep going over that decision, your a young man, it all come down to your hopes and wish's for what lays ahead in your life.
I would bet real good money that the surgeon will subtly push you for another IPP,,,, and why wouldn't he ? it would be kind of stupid for him to push for the MPP and never make money off you again.
We went to a adult campground this past weekend, Friday night I stuck around the RV with the dog and she went to there club house at the campground and lets just say the wifey is very good at getting other women interested in some fun, and she found a couple of very, very curious women and brought them back to the RV Friday night with her, too my surprise she had already told they about my implant, and to tell you the truth I had a hard time to get rid of them 2 gals that night, me and the wifey worked them over well.
Saturday night they had a party at there club house and when we walked in I could tell there was chatter about us, wasn't sure if it was good or bad until a couple of other women strolled by to chat me up,,, I usually lay kind of back in the shadows of life, but that night the old MPP was kind of the talk of town there, and I was made all sorts of offers, so to speak, even from a couple of gay guys and one straight guy that has ED problems, he was just beside himself on the topic, in his 60's and never even thought about a implant until he met me.

6) Upcoming revision

Right now, finances - both in the present and thinking toward the future - are what are leaning me towards MPP for my own journey. I do wish that the Coloplast IPP’s tubing issues could be fixed and insurance more readily covered these procedures.

Yep, I didn't have to pay for the Titans.

Both are the highest volume IPP surgeons in the country, but not necessarely high volume as in the US, I'd say medium volume. Most PP's implanted here are malleable devices.

This is interesting principles, and now I’m going to dig through the FT forum to see if I can find anything similar from guys who have had salvage malleable placed. Maybe other guys have had buckling issues on account of recovery from infection?

so you are not in the US ? if you did decide on a malleable ,maybe you could get the ridgi10 /14mm rods for better stiffness .
