Hi steve, glad to hear your healing well.
Don't worry bout length to much,I think only time will tell. And I'm sure your gonna be happy(I have the lgx so I can not speak on your situation)but I always said I would gladly play w/a 4 inch rod cause any size dead is still dead.
My dr also told me to pull on my pump,no it didn't feel like it moved anywhere but nas the swelling went down it did keep it loose in the scrotum. Even @ 9 mo
I still pull on it just a habit I guess.
Continued good healing my friend
Rich
Ps. Any questions, always write down and don't be afraid to call the doc.

Re: A New Reality
Hi Rich,
Thanks for the good wishes. I'm doing well. I'm not really worried about length. I was just asking for information. But from the variety of answers I've gotten, both from responses and from reading, I thInk that It's so individual that I really won't know much till I can pump it up and see what I've got after some time. I can wait, after all this is a waiting game isn't it? It's all cool. I"m happy with a 4" live cock as opposed to a longer dead one for sure! It's the best way to look at it I think. I am still pulling on it a bit even tho it doesn't move, but it seems like a good idea anyway. Lotsa details aren't there?
All the best,
Steve

Re: A New Reality
I seem to have turned a corner this weekend. My pain level has gone down enough that I was able to drop down a notch on my dilaudid and think by the end of the week I'll be back to my regular daily twice a day regimen. If I need more I still have them but it's getting better every day. I'm also getting used to this monster in my shorts. I can't believe how big it feels and I don't think I'm inflated all that much by seeing how I hang down to 5 or 6:00 o'clock when I'm standing naked. I don't feel erect much at all so I'm hoping that the pumping will make that happen in time.
The biggest issue for me is the size of the package in my scrotum. The ball and pump assembly feels huge to me and I'm walking like a cowboy with my legs slightly spread apart to keep from squishing it all. And it's resting on the bottom of my scrotum which is where it's supposed to be but it feels like it's still too heavy in there. I guess you get used to that in awhile tho. I just feel so much bigger in every respect even tho I'm not.
I see my doctor on friday and will ask him when he will take the stitches out and what opinions he has about my eventual size and the rest of my questions. I notice that I tend to 'lean" to the left a bit when I lay on my back and let it float free. I also hang down to the left some when I let it go downward lying down. Don't know if it means anything, just noticing. I'm so much fatter tho it's amazing. I look in the mirror and I'm quite happy with what I see now and will be even happier when it's inflated to it's fullest. I'm still feeling erotic but way too sensitive to act on it for awhile yet. All in all things are looking good and I''m happy with it all.
So that's my current report. I'll write more after I see my doctor and get his opinions and advice. And maybe I can finally stop wearing this jockstrap and just go to the h-pouch jockeys i stocked up on and am wearing in addition to the jock strap. But this does feel good to have it all held in so tightly I admit. It's just a little too tight sometimes and I need to get naked and just lie there in the air and rest. It helps....
Cheers to you all, and thanks for the continued support,
Steve

Re: A New Reality
Hi Rich,
Thanks as always for your kind words. It's all progressing as it should from what I've read and heard. I know I'll get used to the pump and all in time but now it sure does feel big. Naked is definitely the easiest way to be, but I only do that when I lie down so I stay OK. I think the tugging is having a slight effect in that I feel like I'm a bit on the right side and I try to tug it back to the middle more. But it's minor and it doesn't hurt to do. It's all very loose down there so I can feel everything well. I'm eager to see my doc this friday for my updates. I have the first of several appointments today and it'll be the first time I've ventured out of the house, except for my garden strolls, since the surgery. It'll be interesting to wear jeans again and see how big I look. It's pretty pronounced in my sweats. The pouch briefs really make you stand out a lot don't they? Cool...

Re: A New Reality
I had my surgery-AMS 700- on 4-19-13. The first 3 weeks I suffered and could not even think of being horny. My scrotum was the size of large grapefruit for 3 weeks and now back down to a new "normal" with the pump and tubing in the scrotum. Now I am horny, but have to wait till I see the surgeon on 6-5-13 to have her inflate the prosthesis for the first time and teach me how to use. I can feel the bulb of the pump with my fingers and it is hard as a rock. How normal is that. I have a squirrel nest of tubing in my scrotum between the pump and the penis and it actually lifts my flaccid penis to a horizontal position. The end of the penis is sore a lot. I use baby oil on my penis and scrotum at bedtime and in the AM. Then I wear Walmart's Men's String Bikini underwear. I don't have the body for that, but the front part holds my scrotum and lifts the penis against the abdomen. I can get through a day wearing this.

Re: A New Reality
The bulb of my AMS pump seemed pretty hard when I first used it. Either it loosened up with time or my finger muscles improved or both. Now almost 7 months post-op it is no problem to squeeze it.
Did you get the "key chain" replica of the pump? The docs usually give it to you after surgery. This helps you to visualize what you have inside your scrotum. It is a similar material to what you have in your scrotum so you can try pumping on it. I squeezed it a few times a day before I got clearance for real pumping to build up my finger muscles. If you didn't get one, you could ask your doc about it. I am sure it only costs AMS about $2.50 to produce the "key chain pump" so they should throw it in for the $9,000 they charge for the internal parts.

Re: A New Reality
A wash cloth or other soft cloth of similar thickness is a great for helping to get the feel of the pump. Just place the pump in the wash cloth and learn to identify the parts of the pump by feel. That worked well for me with my AMS 700 LGX pump. Once I learned how it felt in the wash cloth it was easier to identify the locations in my scrotum.
Yes, the pumping gets easier until nearly at maximum as you use the pump.

Re: A New Reality
Hi Gary,
Congrats on your new implant. I'm hoping it's easier on you now and it doesn't hurt so much. I didn't have much swelling and I feel sorry for you having had that grapefruit in your shorts for so long. I hope you'll do well in your healing. What kind of AMS 700 did you get? The LGX or the CX? Just curious as it seems most guys with an AMS get the LGX but I got the CX because it was recommended by my surgeon and he made a good case for it. I hope you're happy with your choice and you are clearly looking forward to using it as I am. I'm a bit horny too but too sensitive to act on it yet. Give it time is my motto... I like your Orgasms for Everyone wish a lot...

Re: A New Reality
Dave and Dave...
Thanks for your posts. No I didn't get the keyring but I'll ask for one when I see my doc in two days. I did see a picture of one on here so I know what it looks like and the doc showed me beforehand but I don't remember that so well. I can feel it easy in my scrotum and everything is very loose and easy to tell what's what. I can feel the pump strongly at the base of my scrotum and the pad for the deflate button is quite evident. It all feels Very hard and full and heavy right now. I wonder if there's fluid it the bulb or why else would it be so heavy? Curious. I've been tugging down on it even tho it's seated well I think just to make sure it stays there and because I was told to do it till it sets on the base of the scrotum which it always has done. It all feels so hard that it's difficult to imagine pumping the bulb and squeezing the deflate button. I have to wait till week 4 to inflate it so I have about 2 weeks to go till then. I'm pretty excited. I'm hoping that the doc takes the stitches out friday but I dunno when they do that. I don't mind them but would hate to get them snagged in underwear or jockstrap or a towel when I shower. All big "ouch "scenarios for me... I can imagine that it'll all get easier when I do start pumping and I'll be more used to the feel of the thing in with my balls. By 4 weeks I'll definitely be ready to try pumping and will worry about what it's like to do it then I guess. I'm feeling positive about it all and hope it work well. I think it will. I tried the washcloth trick but I can feel things so easily without it I don't know if it'll help me much. I just need to get the OK to do it now. Also the pain is pretty much gone now except for wearing the tight jock strap. I just tried the jockey H pouch underwear today and it felt Sooo much better on my balls and all. I can't wait till friday when I can take off this jock strap. It'll be real freedom then...
Thanks again for the support and advice. Much appreciated.
