Roninhouston:
Did they gave you the keychain pump?
How close to reality is the keychain to the actual pump?
I have been trying to find the deflate button based on the keychain button, but I am just touching the square edges without finding the button.
Hard to find.

mmartinez:

I got the keychain pump at the activation OV. It is the same as what is installed. I locate the bulb and the button is directly above it, in the middle of the square block. After a while you know where to go and push it as it is a smooth ball.

Mine now pop when I push the pump (inflate) and when I push the button it pops when I deflate. I think the inside valve is moving from the inflate to the deflate position. I can feel the fluid running through the tubes, especially when I deflate and squeeze. If is quiet I can hear it.

Glad you found the button. After thirty days I took a warm soaking bath and located all the parts. I was still swollen and the bath helped with the tenderness.

Now every thing is broken in, Dr. Cornell wants you to pump up three times each day each time doing one pump better than the last one until you are to fully deflate.

Good luck!

Update. So I went to bed last night and was able to pump up pretty good. Just to the point of a mild sting. Held that for 3 hours and deflated to about 60% and tried to go to sleep. As I am lying there I started thinking of my wife back home and I started feeling my Penis getting harder and my Glands became engorged. So I thought I would take advantage of this and I started pumping up again in a position I haven't tried before. to my surprise I was able to pump to the max and the bulp got hard! I had the best most massive (for me) errection I have had so far! I was estatic! I only wish I had been home for my wife to enjoy it. I think everything is going to be OK. Thanks for all your suggestions and replies.

Awesome. These devices have improved tremendously over the years and I'm sure things will sort themselves out with time. Good luck.

Question deflating:
The nurse said to squeeze while hitting the deflate Burton.
I have read here that bending down is better.
Which is better?

Cycling:
Nurse said one, I email my urologist and he said 3 or 4 a day.
How many cycles a day do you do?
Thank you
Mario

Hey there mmartinez, I have found the best method of deflating for me is to lay on my back and squeeze the penis hold the deflate button. As for cycling I inflate twice daily for an hour; at the 30 min make I give it a couple of more pumps.

Thank you for your reply, that sounds like a plan.

I find squeezing I hear and feel more fluid returning through the valve to the reservoir. But your can try bending, I do both sometimes, mostly squeezing. When squeezing I push the button periodically, if I hear a "click" I know it is locked in the deflate position.

I saw some of your comments on FT where some talk about how many pumps it takes them to inflate. IMHO is will depend on how good a job you did of deflating to the reservoir. I try to deflate as much as possible and squeeze almost every time I take a leak.

Cycling: At inflation my doc wanted me to recycle three times a day, each time going one more pump than the last. Don't remember how long. After a couple of days I was comfortable enough to hold for an hour with the pump flattened. Then I followed the VED Protocol Therapy, they suggest 60 minutes a day. I have taken that to mean I can break it up as I don't have an hour in the morning to walk around with a hard on. So I break it up into a couple of sessions until I get in the 60 minutes. I always pump up in the shower and continue through morning grooming with a Fleshlight Shower Mount attached to my bathroom sink top.

Hi
Thanks for all the replies.

Re Cycling:
Does the cycle needs to be continues or doing one cycle in the morning and the other in afternoon work as well.

Re Deflating:
I get the vibrations while squeezing and have tried continue squeezing even after it has stop vibrating but once its stops vibrating I don't get more deflated. How do you know if there is more liquid remaining ?
Or how do you know that you have reached the maximum deflation?

Thanks
Mario

On deflating, if you gently squeeze your penis while holding in the deflate button after the vibrations stop, you will feel the vibrations again if there was any more saline to be moved. If not, you're done. You can also feel the tubes become soft and squishy.

Cycling means inflating/deflating. That is one cycle. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon or whenever will be just fine.

Keychain pump? I thought that was a remote.. :? I actually offered it to my wife as her remote and she lit up like she just got a present. She actually bought into it for a few minutes. But seriously how long post-op before I can expect to cycle and test the operation. I have my first post-op appointment in a few days and I suspect that they will do it then and give me directions. Just wondering what to expect.
