I, for one, have been seeing a fine Urologist for about 15 years, but I didn't use him for my implant. I sought out a Urologist who is much younger and has done a zillion implants.
Same here. I have a great local urologist ( former Navy doctor) but I sought out one who does high volume and was on my UHC health plan. Very satisfied so far.
66 YO, Implant 6/7/2017 at University of Maryland by Dr. Andrew Kramer, High Volume Implant And world class surgeon. AMS 700. Great expierence with zero complications.

There are a lot of qualified doctors just have to research. FYI Coloplast list their high volume surgeons as "Center of Excellent" usually at the top of the search. I called AMS they do not disclose theirs. I would interview a few and see how they answer question that you have picked up from FT

Re: Your recommended doctors
The physician finder list is still under construction. There are many more to come.
Our goal is to get very qualified sexual medicine doctors listed on here, not just implant doctors - and no, they often do not overlap. It just so happens that most of the doctors on here are implant doctors at the moment. They were the first responders. We are reaching out to other doctors we know who are sexual medicine specialists who may have expertise in diagnosing ED, great with treatments, great with libido and testosterone issues, etc.
Here's where we started -
We began with asking doctors to contact us if they wanted to be listed on here. We Then talk to each surgeon so that we know them and they know us. We do not take every doctor who wants to be listed.
If YOU love your doctor and feels he was attentive, skilled, and an all around great guy, have him contact us.
We rely a lot of patient experiences.
Thanks
Paul

I would not give a nickle for Coloplast's " Center of Excelence" list of doctors. When I checked the list long ago, the only doctor listed in our midwest area was the doctor I had a horrid experience with, one who another on this forum said he would not go to due to his bad reputation ( He lives in the same city). All others they pointed to were doctors no-one had ever heard of. When I called the first doctor it listed for me and asked the secretary if the doctor could give me some people I could talk to for referrals, she told me they do not give out patient information and there would not be that many. He had only done 5 implants. It is a marketing sham in my opinion. Dr. Eid, Kramer, and Karpman were not on the list. Maybe they are now, I don't know. I asked another FT member if Eid was still using Coloplast and he told me he was still their biggest customer...yet he was not on the list. It is another referral system for the Coloplast sales team.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

Lost Sheep wrote:As many on the forum have read in my posts, I have been seeking Penile Implant surgery through the Veteran's Administration in Maryland so Dr. Kramer would be able to the surgery. I have gotten a local urologist and Dr. Kramer on board with the idea but the Maryland VA is finding it difficult to accomodate my desires and the VA in Alaska (where I live) has suggested the Washington VA in Seattle as an alternative.
The problem is, I know nothing of the surgeons associated with the Washington State VA.
Does anyone have any experience with any of these urologic surgeons? Apparently, these are the surgeons available to me through my VA instead of Dr. Kramer in Maryland.

John Krieger, MD
Paul Lange, MD
Thomas Lendvay, MD
Daniel Lin, MD
Jane Miller, MD
Richard Pelman, MD
Michael Porter, MD
Thomas Walsh, MD, MS
Jonathan Wright, MD
Claire Yang, MD
I am at my wit's end here and could use any advice at all. I have to make a decision soon or the window on having this "cure" may close.
Thank you, my brothers in ED.

My understanding is Walsh has a good reputation. Before I got into Kramer he was on my list to try to get in to. He has done some extensive reconstruction on a member here.

Funny you say that, I came across a article last night that said that Center of Excellent doctors have at less 3500 implant. I had a great doctor but he is too young to have done 3500 implants. unless they count everyone in the office. So you are probably right sales pitch

Re: Your recommended doctors
There is NO way some of the doctors on the list have done 3500 implants. Look up our zipcode 63755. There is one doctor that is listed in Ky that according to healthgrades has been in practice since 2014. He would have to do 3.19 implants a day every single day of the year to attain that number for 3 years straight. Not possible. https://www.healthgrades.com/

Does anyone have any experience with Dr Jeffry Brady in Orlando (Fla Urology Assoc)?
My surgery was done on Aug 2 by Dr. Kramer in Baltimore. I am only three days out,but at this point I have minimal swelling and pain in my groin area and some tenderness where the reservoir was placed. I took pain mess as a precaution the first day and half but nothing sense. You can see my experience under my experience on FT or watch my video on Dr. Kramer utube named Man From from Whitemarsh. Yes I would recommend Dr Kramer.

Based on what I have heard, he is one of Top 5 in Central FL.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.
