It will also be interesting to see if the increased length of the new implant actually results is increased length of penis as measured externally.

Reports have it that revision implants are often longer than the implants they replaced. It is less clear if the extra length is buried in the crus, a result of compressed glans tissues (or a bit of both) or actual, usable penis external length.

I hope you measured your length and girth before losing the first implant so you will be able to report what EFFECTIVE change in size you have. (After the swelling has gone down, of course.)

Inquiring minds want to know, please.

I had. 6.75 (7 on occasion) length with 5.5 in girth. We will see. I don' know if going infra pubic this time will make any difference. The surgeon basically installed the new cylinders on the top of my penis vs. the bottom previously. I didn't even know there was a distinction, but this is what he said.

To be accurate, the implants occupy the same exact space as the old ones but they were installed FROM the top rather than FROM underneath. Since the penoscrotal area is below the penis, the incisions in the erectile bodies (corpora cavernosa) for penoscrotal incision are under the penis or from the bottom. Since infrapubic incision is above the erectile bodies of the penis, the incisions in the corpora would be done from above the (proximal or crus) penis from within the abdomen.

So characteristic of most of my posts, I just over-explained the distinction when you probably really didn't want to know. :)

No, thank you. I am really appreciative of the information. About a week and two days out. The only thing easier regarding recovery is that I was immediately able to operate the pump and deflation unlike my first implant. However, the infrapubic scar hurts and is swollen. I think this swelling is affecting the nerves/sensitity unlike the scrotal approach. It is slowing easing. Not supposed to begin cycling until this coming Wednesday at the two week mark. I can already tell I am going to have to go through the same cycling procedure to maintain my girth and length. Was warned that this was likely but was hoping since I already had an implant that my penis would be less in need of rehabilitation. My own blood flow is starting to return, but from the base. The head is not flopping, and I can somewhat induce engorgement, but it is not coming as naturally as pre-revision. I just had my penis cut open, I don't know what I expect.

I alway had good engorgement on top of the implant. I hope that comes back. I remember it took a bit of time with the original implant, so I probably just need to relax. There is still a good amount of pain in the scrotum and where the tubing for the new reservoir was placed. If you have any insight, I'd love to hear it. You can PM if you like.
