I wasn’t sent home with a catheter and did fine.

Correct, I didn't have a catheter. Urinating has never been a problem. It feels odd to pee with a semi and the urine tends to shoot out faster, which is a new sensation but not a bad one.

It does dribble. I try to squeeze the normal muscles near the anus to squeeze out the rest gently because it also forces blood into the penis which feels sore. I ended up just standing at the toilet for extra time to try to get everything out.

Don't take this as a proven fact. I read many years ago that urine is close to bacteria free upon elimination. The sugars, proteins & such are what cause the bacteria to grow. As such, it's my feeling that prompt cleanup if any was to get on the incision would suffice. Also, many surgeons coat the incision with a glue like substance. That should provide some protection. I don't recall any members having trouble with this risk. A portable urinal bottle helps also.

Are you certain? As I understand it, the Touch has a larger and more noticeable ball, and is meant for those with dexterity issues. And while it is easier to inflate and deflate it is considered not as reliable.

I fly out tomorrow morning, very early, on a 4 hour direct flight. I was anxious about comfort since I will be wearing clothes for an extended time for the first time since my procedure, so I upgraded to first class for hopefully more comfort and room to stretch. I'm open to any advice from other traveller's on how to make my journey pain free and smooth.

I too am very interested in this information. My flight back will be 16 hours. I am not looking forward to this ... at all. Suspect it'll be the longest 16 hours of my life.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, I am now back home after a relatively easy travel day :)

I uploaded 2 photos to the OP with the state of my penis today, on day 4. I'll post again later tonight with a detailed status report.

Did he perform a scrotoplasty as well?

Dr. Clavell did my IPP and performed a scrotoplasty during the same surgery. The funny thing is that we didn’t discuss it beforehand, as I never considered that there was a term or solution for my ‘turkey neck.’ Upon doing the unwrap 72 hours later and see a line of what looked to be tightly swaddled skin on the underside of my shaft, I realized that
A) some work had been done on my shaft
B) the cosmetic appearance of my penis was greatly improved, looking longer and more sleek.

Within a few weeks or maybe a month, that slightly raised line of skin of the scrotoplasty had become fully absorbed and level with the skin around it, and there’s no indication that it was any other way before the surgery.

I appreciate Dr. Clavell doing this during my IPP surgery, as otherwise I believe it would be considered a cosmetic surgery and probably wouldn’t be approved by my insurance when done separately.

Mid 30’s. ED since early 20’s. Pharmaceuticals were helpful initially, but stopped working. Implanted with Titan 22cm -.5cm (no RTEs) by Dr. Clavell 1/26/2022.

Day 5 Status Update

I got home yesterday via a 4-hour plane ride. I was worried that I'd be uncomfortable or worse, awkwardly erect in front of other traveller's, but neither issue came to pass. I wore a long t shirt and baggy basketball shorts, tucking my penis downwards into them. It stuck out a little but the shirt covered most of it. I stayed comfortable throughout the flight, but I did take pain meds directly before which I know helped.

After arriving home yesterday (day 4), I continued to rest and recover with minor pain. Today is day 5, and the pain is about the same as yesterday, however I reduced my pain meds and I am getting an increasing frequency of the uncomfortable shooting pains which I feel near the lower part of my glans in particular. I want to get off the pills as soon as possible, but today seems too soon, so I popped the pills again and am feeling better already.

My healing is coming along well. Nothing else major to report. Will circle back throughout the week.

From watching his videos, he seems to do it if the patient has scrotal webbing.

BUT a surgeon doing that without prior discussion with the patient doesn’t seem appropriate. What if you liked the appearance you had before and he altered that?
Decades+ ED; finally ultrasound showed venous leak+arterial insufficiency. Infrapubic (Yay!) implant by Dr. Karpman 8/9/22; with 13 cm distal, 9 proximal Titan. Cleared for new life 9/1/22 and hoping to make up for lost time.
