Have been cycling for 1-week now and it's been going well. Something immediately apparent is the noticeable increase in girth across my entire shaft vs. pre-op. Honestly, I feel bad for whoever it going to deal with this wide and hard thing stretching them open in the future :D Here are my stat changes:

Length: 6" BPEL (-0.5")
Girth: 6.25" (+0.125")

It would be nice to get the length back (and some more) but I'll keep an eye on that as I continue to cycle over the next 6 months. Cycling hasn't been too difficult, and Clavell told me to hold off on stretching just yet and keep cycling to 20-30 mins 2-3x per day. I've been sticking to his guidelines and have noticed sharp nerve pain sometimes post cycling, but nothing too bad or prolonged to keep me from cycling. The pain during cycling is a 2-4 normally and not too difficult to get through. One thing I noticed is that girth is sometimes larger than other times (despite no engorgement in either cycling session). Is this normal? It seems like the size fluctuates and might be due to the penis shrinking in response to any pain being experienced.

Moving along! I remember when I came across penile implant years ago, I used to say to myself "despite my ED, I'm glad at least it's not so bad that I need to get an implant!" Little did I know  Very happy with my decision so far. Sometimes I get an irrational fear that I might damage my pump, so I'll squeeze a few pumps to make sure it's still working. It feels like there's a lot of variables that could cause an implant to fail, so that'll run through my head at times.

New_Member, glad you are doing great.
It’s sounds like you will have to get her super wet before parking that thing in the garage. Lol

Keep getting better

6-weeks post-op

I had my in-person 6-week post-op appointment with Dr. Clavell today. He took a look and said everything looked great. I'm cleared to work out and he mentioned that the high pain from inflating and stretching should resolve over time. I mentioned how scared I am for this to break one day, or break early on, is there any way to prevent that? And he said no, it really just comes down to tubing failure. But to not let that hold me back, and to use my nice car instead of keeping it in the garage all day. Can't say I disagree with him, and I am excited to put it to use.

Another thing Dr. C mentioned after I asked him about the multiple revisions I will require now going into old age if this has potential downsides and he said yes. Your risk of infection increases (but not common for him) and this will weaken the tissue the more surgeries you have. There's a possibility that the weakened tissue might cause the implant to break through, poke out, or cross over. It's a concern, but that's a problem for future me to deal with when revisions take place.

I'm finding cycling to be painful and lasting even 20 minutes can be a challenge at times, I'll even start to sweat as if I'm doing an intense workout in the gym. The base of my penis has little flexibility when I'm fully inflated, and remains at 3 o' clock unless I pull it in different directions. This will all resolve over time, as Dr. C and many posters here mentioned, so I'll just have to keep at it and hope for that day to come sooner than later. I really couldn't imagine having sex at this point even at 6-weeks post-op, but Dr. C says to still try it and the pleasure will probably outweigh the pain in those moments. I am definitely curious to try, now I'll have to find a volunteer. :D

I was a 'tweener before surgery, but I'm a full believer now. This is by far one of the most difficult surgeries I've had to recover from and I dread the day I'll need a revision, but for now I'll enjoy all the mileage I get out of it. Masturbation has been excellent so far, even with the inflation pain, and I can't wait to experience an orgasm during sex. I've never been fully hard during an orgasm until having an implant, and I can confirm that it's awesome.

All the best to you man. You’re in very good hands. I’ve had several surgeons throughout the years and I can say without a doubt that Dr. C has been one of my favorites. Your initial recovery might be difficult like mine or it might be as easy as others have had it, but as long as you follow the post-op instructions, you will be very happy you made this decision in the near future.

You might try printing a T-Shirt with one of the phrases found in this thread
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12167&p=105570
My favorite one is:
Cyborg --- Noun /ˈsīˌbôrɡ/ Person whose physical abilities are extended beyond normal human limitations by mechanical elements built into the body.
but that may be too wordy for a shirt.

Or, what I did, posted on a dating site for a "lab partner" to accompany me on my journey from impotence to implantee. I got a few volunteers of good quality women that way.
