14 day update

Short update because everything seems to be going well for me so far.

I have been able to resume all of my normal activities (except lifting weights) as normal. I am fine wearing underwear all day, walking around, and doing all my daily errands. I almost never experience pain or discomfort anymore - the only time I still have any issues is if I'm walking for a long time and need to adjust the goods, which is not always convenient in public. Honestly, I've arguably felt more discomfort from the pubic hair growing back and itching than I have from the surgical recovery the past few days.

I will be traveling this weekend to by plane, about a 3-hour flight, and don't foresee any issues. I will bring my pain medication, but I expect to be able to walk around and take care of what I need to do. It's nice to have this freedom and flexibility. I intend to reach out to my doctor to see if I can begin cycling early. I'm only 2 of 6 weeks into my recovery, but I'm eager to get back in the saddle.

7 week update

Cycling

Today is 7 weeks since surgery date and I am feeling great. I have been cycling for one week now. The first time cycling, I did it in the bath tub and had no issues finding the pump, inflating, holding it for 30 minutes, then deflating again. I was worried that the pump would be much harder to use, and I'm grateful that it's been smooth for me so far. My cycling cadence is twice a day, every day, for 30 mins. I will do that for 6 months, then a minimum of once a week (or just used for sex/masturbation) indefinitely.

When inflating, the pump doesn't make any noise (yet) as some here have reported. What's nice is, after squeezing the pump and releasing, I can feel a tiny vibration in the pump bulb as it refills with saline, and this is my indication of how much fluid I just successfully pumped in. Also, the pump is very stable in its place - I was worried about it shifting around a lot but it hasn't, even when I slipped a few times while inflating and it slid from my fingers quickly.

Healing

There are still parts that are healing. Last week, on the first day of cycling, I had to remove two tiny stitches on the penoscrotal incision. They weren't painful to remove. The incision itself is still healing, it's not apparent visually, but the line is still numb to the touch.

Another thing is the implant has still not fully straightened out my curve, as you can see in the pics. It's wayyyyy better than before, and I'm happy with it, but I suspect with time and dedicated cycling it'll continue to straighten out even more. Related to this is the glans which sort of curves downward, but in certain angles it's more straight. It doesn't bother me but YMMV.

Sex

I haven't had sex with the new equipment yet, unfortunately, but I'm working on that. I think within the next 6 weeks there's a 99% chance I'll be able to, and will report back.

Meanwhile, I started occasional masturbation at the 3 week mark, doing it maybe once a week. Since I've started cycling I have become more regular. The other day I went twice in an hour with a fully inflated implant and it felt amazing! Even solo, the mental clarity of not needing to rush and not connecting sexuality to suffering was an amazing gift. I'm extremely happy with the functional use of the device, as well as the felt experience of the orgasm (which is as good as any I've ever had, even better)

At day 7 stitches were still clearly visible now it seems fine or much better. How does it work exactly? They dissolve them with time and baths, do you need a nurse or medical assistance or whatever?

Has it been painful the process?

The incision is still somewhat raised there, but there is a slight, visible pump in certain angles. It's small though, and for my biology I can't see it one bit while standing or sitting in a chair, for example. If I'm reclined, however, then the balls sort of sink down, under and behind the pump, which exposes a soft sillhoutte of the pump's outline from some angles.

Basically I kept feeling the stitches throughout the process, they're not painful themselves but they are quite hard so they may poke and prod your leg occasionally. To take them out, I took a hot bath, and just pinched them with my thumb and forefinger. They slid out slowly but smoothly, and it felt like nothing at all, no sensations other than relief. It was much easier than anticipated.

There were two distinct stitches that I pulled out at around the 5-6 week mark. I definitely would have been able to pull them earlier, I was just paranoid about infection and wanted the incision to fully heal before messing with it.

They're both independent stitches, maybe about 1/4 inch in length.
