Just sharing this just in case it will help you. I experienced scrotal shrinkage during the first 1 1/2 weeks, so everything felt somewhat tight, but just minor discomfort. However, I realized that if I got completely horizontal, and covered myself within a warm blanket, the entire scrotal sac started to be more distended. Then, I was able to gently "massage" the pump surroundings without any discomfort.

Also, to my surprise, I noticed that the pump was and still is very loose, which I can easily move it into a more comfortable position. On my previous surgeries, the pseudocapsule developed was so thick that the pump was almost immobilized. Without a doubt, the use of ibuprofen helped me to keep the swelling under control.

Yes i have much more room with it while on my back and warm. It is so good to get the feedback that you had a similar situation and that it rectified itself. I can feel my pum very nicely so when the scrotum relaxes it should be no problem

Day 12:

I slept 10 hours last night. That never happens for me usually 7 1/2. Got up to pee and took Tylenol again. I awoke to find my swelling almost totally gone. The ache in the right side that has been there for days nearly gone. This is great progress. Now to get my scrotum to relax so that I can move things around and feel what I'm doing with the pump and valve. I think it is going to require a hot bath. I don't know is my incision is ready for that yet although it is healed there is still a scab on part of it.

Great progress! I know that the baths are very effective at loosing up and relax things inside the sac and are soothing (I used them during my second surgery, which was infra public), but because the sutures used by Kramer are dissolvable, you have to be 100% sure it is fully healed. I suggest to sent him a good photo of the incision and have his blessing before hand. You have come so far with such a great results that maybe waiting a bit longer may be better.

Day 12:
I spoke with Dr. Kramer last night after texting photo's to him. He is very pleased with my healing. I can start hot baths when I feel like I am ready. He said any risk of infection is now behind me and its just time till I'm 100%. I awoke this morning with almost no swelling. I am still bruised, but that is beginning to wane as is normal for my fair skin after any surgery. I remember wondering how it was possible that guys had trouble finding the deflate button and the pump. I now understand. I am fortunate that the button on my pump is front and center. I can also feel the pump at the bottom. The problem for now is that with my scrotum pulled up so tight I can't get behind the pump or the valve for a 180 degree squeeze. Dr. Kramer says no rush on cycling as anytime in the first 4 weeks is sufficient to stay ahead of any scarring and potential capsulation. I plan to hop in the tub tomorrow night at the two week anniversary and see how it goes. I might still be to sore to do much squeezing. I'm hoping that the hot water will relax my scrotum enough to place the pump where I can squeeze it.

Great !!! It takes time and practice to feel comfortable and "competent". But once you get it, you will enjoy it, and will be able to see back and realize that it was worth it.

I cannot continue to be amazed at the difference between this time and my other two surgeries. The first one left me with such a painful swelling for six weeks that I could not even walk normally, let alone trying to manipulate the pump. Very frustrating, and for nothing; totally useless with so many flaws.

Two week anniversary:

Well this morning I am pain free with no pain meds. I believe I have a perfectly executed procedure. My wound is healed bruising is going away slowly.

I am ready to pump but:

It's going to be a challenge. If you took two testicles and one polymer pump and sewed then tightly in a leather bag, wet the bag and shrunk it in the sun you would have a good replica of my scrotum lol. The best I can tell right now is that the jock and underwear have pulled the ball portion of the pump up toward my head with the tubing bundle toward my feet. The deflate button is front and center and easy to feel but no way I can get behind it for a 180 degree squeeze. Its the first time I have been thankful for my 18 months of Lupron HDT shots lol . My testicles are half the size they used to be. Anyway, before surgery in a hot bath with a relaxed scrotum you could park an SUV between my balls, so my challenge now is to get everything to relax back to that state so I can arrange the parts and get on with it. Tonight after work, a very hot very long bath.
