Week 12

It's officially been 3 months since my surgery. Before I launch into my pics, here's some initial thoughts. I was talking with the husband last night, and as I told him, while I'm not 100% satisfied with my implant, at this point, I have to remember the purpose of the implant: not to return me to where I was before cancer and this whole mess got me, but to get me back in the game, and to get me functional again. Before the surgery I was not functional unless I injected and there was pain, distraction, and all kinds of issues going on with Peyrones. Now? I can get hard when I want. I'm not as big as I was before cancer, but if I'm still here with you (him) then thats a very small price to pay for that privilage.

I'm learning to enjoy having this implant. I can get hard and do what I want with it whenever I please. I can't do much with 100% inflation as of yet - STILL uncomfortable as we continue to work through scar tissue from Peyrones but I can go 80% which is plenty. I am continuing my stretching twice a day - morning and night for about 15 minutes in the shower. The increases are infantismal but definitely there over time when I go back through pictures.

I've still only had intercorse three times since the implant - it's still a bit uncomfortable if I do whole hog - but I'll get there - each time is better. Masturbation is best at this point - it's kind of neat to be able to choose my level of hardness and anjoy myself.

Is this the same as my original dick? No. I can "feel" the implant - the two tubes - its less prominent when NOT 100% inflated - but its there - and thats OK. It doesn't hurt - its just different.

My pump is forward of my testicles. I think it was wolfpacker who mentioned his being VERY prominent - I think mine is less prominent due to sack fluid / blood and possibly scar tissue of the incision hiding it.

Anyway - on to pics:

Thickness is sticking right at about 5.1 at the thickest and about 5.6 or 5.7 in length - but it's slowly increasing. It looks like I'm gaining thickness near the base of the head - this was an area where there was scar tissue from the peyrones.

I plan on continuing the pics and updates to about the 6 month mark so everyone can see what someone in my position has gone through with "stretching" and gains. While I am gaining, I don't think I'm going to get "all" of my pre surgery (post cancer) size back. FYI - about surgery time I was 6.5 or so by about 5.5 (down from 7.5 x 6.25 pre-cancer and onset of Peyrones / severe ED). I think I'll be lucky to make 6 x 5.5. I do get some engorgement - but it quickly goes away during intercourse.

Ahhhh --- thats a vein - not a tube - tube is on the side - you can't really see it - I thought you might be able to see that for some reason. I did get lucky in that it looks good. Don't need to tell me ejaculate isn't important - the orgasms are still good - just different - and I'm glad I still can!

The REAL Week 12

I've never claimed to be a math major. Somewhere along the lines I screwed up my week count - I am officially at week 12 this week. It's been 84 days since my surgery and this is the 3 month mark.

Measurements:
Length: 5.6 inches (or so)
Girth:13.2 cm 5.19" - rounded to 5.2"

Gaining size back is a journey in patience. I have to admit earlier pictures were a bit more 'enthusiastic' in my measuring techniques - but I've included the new pics here. My length could be determined to be moderately bone pressed. I should have shaved a bit - but didn't. Going back through the pics I've posted you can see the increase is steady though the entire length, though the gains look more prominent near the glans. I believe this is due to breakup of scar tissue that I had in that area from the Peyrones. While I'm NOT the size I was before pre-cancer - I'd have to say I'm pleased with my progress. Once you get your head over the fact that the purpose of this surgery is to get you functional and healed from the issues you had before, this is what you should expect. Modest gains in size to get you back to CLOSE to your size pre-surgery, and a return to function.

Lets not forget that I had some pretty drastic deformity going on pre-surgery.

I don't have a lot of pics of the issues because it was just too depressing at the time. However I can proudly say I DON'T have those issues any more (indents, bends etc).

Function: Things continue to heal. I continue to do the Perito exercises at least twice a day with some minimal pumping once in a while (hey I work from home and can get bored from time to time - and as my husband says "you're a boy and have a penis...so..."). The exercises can leave me sore for about 10 to 20 minutes after, but its not bad. I'd rather be a little sore and working on getting as much of my size and my function all the way back than not. The exercises do help with function BTW. While you are stretching the implant and penile material out, this is as close to sex you can get without having sex. On that note - sex is back on the menu. I'm able to perform with only minimal discomfort and can get all the way to the finish. I didn't have ED before my cancer so never really felt rushed before - but I do enjoy taking my time and of course I can do that now. Also - if I wanted to - I could continue right away - though I am still getting a bit of discomfort so - maybe not RIGHT away.

Overall things continue to heal and I'm pleased. I can heartily recomend Dr. Segal as he did a great job and has a good attitude.
