I would guess that some do and some don't (within reason -- my guess is under 18 would be refused by all, but that's just a guess). Email one of the doc's and ask.

If the shots don't work almost immediately, the remedy may be as simple as working with your urologist to find the right formula and the right dosage before giving up on injections. If indeed, injections don't work, you need to find out why. Venous leakage is a good candidate. Perhaps it could be something else. Before any kind of surgery, make sure you've exhausted or at least considered every other option. Most importantly, the surgeon needs to know EVERYTHING that she might find while rummaging around your favorite body parts. N'est-ce pas?

i tried about three times a week for about 3 months with three different formulations none worked, all left me with a dick feeling like it was in a vise for hours. The mix without prostaglandin hurt the least.

I would think anyone 18 or older that have tried all the other options without success would be eligible.

I would say it depends on your medical history. I wish everyone had a great doctor and facility to have all the tests done from the beginning. Then make a plan with that doctor. In my area no testing is done. Just a progression of the different treatments.

Sorry, I can't agree with that. If a VL is the diagnosis, than the implant is the treatment. We all know that the injections and pills will not work on a VL. Why would we potentially jeopardize relationships by screwing around for years with treatments that are not going to work. As far as I am concerned, as soon as a definite diagnosis of VL is made, off you go to the OR... life is too short to be wasting time. I wasted over 30 years for nothing... just because I didn't know that there was such a thing. Just my humble opinion.
