Hello,
For those that have had revisions, did you experience increased size ?
Length and make of implant? What was your initial implant length vs the revised implant length?
How long did you have the original implant?
How was the second ( or third ) recovery compared to the initial recovery?
Thanks

Re: Revision size increases
My first implant in 1995 was an AMS Ultrex that lasted about 3 1/2 years. It was replaced with the same thing in 1999. That one lasted about about 14 years and was then replaced with the same version, although it was then, as now, called the AMS 700 LGX. All three turned out to be the same 6 1/4 inches (when inflated) that I had during normal earlier days. Needless to say, I was quite happy to not lose length as has been reported by so many here. The first and second implants were a piece of cake without much swelling or pain. The third implant resulted in more pain and lots of swelling. This last one was performed by the same doctor who did the second one, so I don't know why the third one turned out as it did. Bottom line, though, is that all three ended up turning out fine. If this one fails, I'll do it again.
I'm 75 and got an AMS Ultrex in 1995. Had it replaced in 1999. Got a new AMS 700 LGX in 2013.
Re: Revision size increases
Yes the revision with a LGX does increase length and girth. The first was an Ultrex and lasted 15 years length was around seven inches, with the LGX the cylinders were longer and it is very close to eight inches. Girth from 5.5 to 6.
Very happy with both.
And if this second one failed, I would do it again.

Re: Revision size increases
Tube cracked in my original Coloplast after almost 7 years. Two weeks out from revision and implant of AMS 700 CX now, same local doctor in each event. It is too early to predict new size but I am thinking that I will gain a little in both girth and length. Time will tell. I have been amazed at how easy the second time has been, no discoloration, moderate swelling, and almost no pain. Biggest cause for complaint has been from a skin irritation where tape was ripped off. Waiting in great anticipation.

Re: Revision size increases
I had original implant done Oct 2015 , an AMS CX 18 +3 cm. Revision Dec 2016 with AMS LGX 21 + 3 1/2 cm. Revision was done because of mal-placed tips, implant too short causing unsupported glans and pain caused by a poor implant job to begin with. Revision was done by Dr Kramer and the recovery was so much better / easier with less bruising and less need for pain meds.
I guess my short answer would be , yes, the replacement was longer, Girth roughly the same and recovery much, much better.
If you have specific questions, fell free to PM me or we can talk by phone.
