What kind of implant do you have?
Diagnosed with ED at age of 19, Implanted with Coloplast Titan at age 20. Now 34 (2023)
Titan failed 09/2020, replaced on 10/2/2020 by Kolher @ Mayo Clinic in Minnesota

If you're willing to share... who was the Doc? What device did you have put in? CX, LGX or Titan? Any specific pre-surgical conditions? Have you thought about a second opinion? Apart from the intern, what does the implant surgeon say?
22cm Coloplast Titan OTR implanted Feb 2012 by Dr Francois Eid in NYC.

What are we looking at here? is that after inflation or flacid. To tell the truth, I didn't see anything that looked really wrong expect of course if that is fully inflated it is pointed in the wrong direction, ie down not out or up? I was not instructed by my dr. to keep mine pointing up all the time while healing but I did anyway. how did you deal with position while healing? I hope for your sake that the only issue is side to side, I didn't think that looked bad, but then that's just me. For being only less than two months old, things don't appear to be that bad, it does take time for the daily inflations to have their effect, you can look at it as a work in progress.

Years ago when I could have sex naturally I could sustain an erect penis. Take a look at the post surgical pics. Now my penis bends to the left and when pumped up fully can barely make 45 degrees. When I questioned the intern who did the follow-up he looked at it and said, "that's adequate." I wanted to slap him. I can give you more details if you wish but please please please research your doctor and everything really well. I have no idea what I will do now.
The top picture is flacid with a bend to the left which I didn't have before. The bottom is erect, as far as it will rise. I've never been able to get it beyond this point, surgery oct 8, and doctor doesn't see a problem.

This was done at the VA. I was told the appearance would not change, but it has, bending to the left and unable to get erect. It's a Titan. No pre-surgical conditions. The intern was the surgeon, I just found that out yesterday and didn't know, and he has returned to Duke. Now I'm dealing with another intern. I've never talked to the attending physician who did none of the surgery.rlm1818 wrote:If you're willing to share... who was the Doc? What device did you have put in? CX, LGX or Titan? If you hadn't told me I don't think I would've noticed anything . . . however you certainly know what it was like before. The inflated picture looks full and firm too. But appreciate the advice on checking out the doctor - not sure I'd want an intern doing my surgery. Hopeful I'll be bionic like you in the near future. Maybe you can do some 'molding' down the road? Continued good luck. Rick

I'm not sure I answered one part of your question correctly....you said you kept yours up while healing. I can't get mine up any further than the bottom picture...and it also bends to the left. Those two things are bothering me and I'm trying to get the attending physician to talk to me about it.

Re: I had Surgery Oct 8 and regretting it
I'm guessing you got this done in Asheville? Me too... I really would like to know the name of your surgeon if possible. Considering it's only 2 months out it really does look normal at this point. Mine pointed to the left and was kind of twisted (ever so slightly also). It stayed that way for many months but got gradually better (very slightly) each couple of months. After about a years worth of serious pumping and working with it, the twist went away, and pumping to absolute maximum gave it back a very slight upward angle.
Now I've had a revision for relocate my pump and the process (part of it anyway) has started all over for me again. EXCEPT that now, when laying on my back, if I pump it up firmly, it points significantly more upward. However, while standing, gravity will pull it back down with a very slight upwards angle.
I do understand your buyers remorse, I'm going through that too right now. It was really bad the first time out of the gate for me, but it seriously was a dramatic improvement at the end of a year. I had a revision just a month ago and it's like starting all over again except that I know it will get much better over time. I fully hope and expect I'll have no complaints (with the implant) a year from now based on my own past experience, but I could be wrong. If I'm not happy with it, I will find someone to fix it and have it done. That's just me...
I doubt you'll be disappointed 6-8 months from now. Just be patient if possible.
