Update...Corporoplasty?

Saw my urologist yesterday (Dec 1, 2011) about my floppy head problem. He said he would do the revision surgery but it's not that the cylinders are too short per se. Rather, they can't push into my glans. He'll do what's called corporoplasty to literally hollow out my glans somewhat so the cylinders will reach into the head. I'm scheduled for surgery on December 22. If anyone has more information about this procedure please share it. Thanks.

I an sorry to hear about you having to have this proceedure. I have never heard of it and I guess you wish you hadn't either. I hope it goes well and is not too painful.

It's been a week since my revision surgery and I'm finally feeling a little better. I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow.

I got my operative report faxed to me today. I read it. From what I can understand I received bilateral corporoplasty: The cylinders were taken out and two tunnels were carved into the glan so the head is no longer floppy.

And get this! The cylinders were washed and placed back into me with some additional rear tip extenders. Ask your doctor the next time you see him: "Do you recycle?" LOL!

I'm still uncomfortable but getting better. I'll skip work all next week and maybe even the week after that. Hope you all are doing well. Thanks for your previous good wishes. Here's hoping 2012 will be a good year for all of us.

I have a similar problem, Floppy Head.
Hope this Corporoplasty works!
I will follow your progress closely. So please keep us posted.
Did your insurance cover the revision?
I have Medicare,so i'm not sure how they would handle this.
