Washing the penis after Penile surgery
Hey guys , I’m almost 2 full days with my new friend down there and it’s time for the shower soon. There is nothing on the web or YouTube on how to wash the area or even what type of soap you should use . Any suggestions? I’m trying to prevent any type of infection. Just asking .

1) What and when did your doctor say?
2) likely not a direct stream of water. Some doctors say do not soak, some do depending on how they closed it up.
3) Definitely if you use soap, something very mild. I would suggest something like baby shampoo and very dilute in the water. Very soft with the cloth. Don't scrub it. Not only would it hurt but you do not want to disturb the scab if you have one. If you have stitches, scrubbing shifts those back and forth and can introduce bacteria into the wound.
If you have glue, some glues get soft or peal off if you get it too wet. Same with absorbable stitches. If you get them too wet they sometimes come apart or fall out too early too.
Cheers man.

LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

Every doctor has different instructions based on the method used to install and to seal the incision site. My instructions were no shower for 5 days post op and then use a antibacterial soap like dial. Was told not to use the prescription strength pre-op soap as it would cause irritation Then 2 warm baths a day starting at day 10 which has been the best to speed up the healing process.
If your doctor didn’t send you home with instructions I would call or email for specific directions.

I totally agree with Alibaba and David. Even a diluted antibacterial dishsoap would do. Just gently lather it on, you don't want to force any soap in the incisions. I was not allowed to shower for 5 days and, after day 10 I could bathe. Dr. Brock had me put Polysporin on the incision right after shower (or bath) It prevents/treats infection and keeps the incision well lubricated and hydrated. Happy Healing

My instructions from my doctor were very similar to yours.
