FT,

How long after implant are you in the infection free zone? Meaning how many weeks do I stop worrying about an infection?
37 year old male married 15 years ed 13 years transplanted 6/7/18 Dr Shapiro Atlanta, Ga Titan Coloplast.

Generally infections show up their ugly head soon after implant to within a month but have been known to show up years later. Usually, once the skin is healed with no more stitches to dissolve or the holes to heal, you are thought to be of minimal risk.
