Titan OTR - Scary new occurance - Update

Strangely, I had posted a thread here about how my pump bulb was going flat and and staying that way, but I can't find the thread now to post updated information.

I thought it may be a fluke (the bulb) as suggested by one of the other members, but as it turns out it's not a fluke, or a kinked line. I can reproduce this behaviour over and over again. It's just that after it's mostly inflated, or after a hot shower where my tissues are easily expanded, I give it a final few tissue stretching pumps, the bulb will go flat and won't draw any more from the reservoir.

My theory is this... I think that with the additional tubing added during the revision, and possible fluid loss during the surgery, there's is now just barely enough saline to pump up the erection. No extra fluid seems to be present to really put pressure on the cylinders or my tissues. I'm a bit disappointed by this but I can live with it. I was worried the device was failing, but I'm pretty sure it's just low on fluid. I doubt it could be tuned up with out another revision, but it's not worth it to me.

I'd still get it seen about. The surgeon should know about this--perhaps he will have a simple solution.

Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to call Titan's customer service and get their opinion.

I'm out of state right now caring for my Dad. He has stage 4 brain / lung cancer and mom can't care for him alone anymore. He isn't expected to survive much longer, so my penis issues will have to wait until I go back home in a few weeks or days? Who knows...?

Anyway, I will contact Coloplast while I'm here and my surgeon when I go home. Thanks for you suggestions, I surely will act on them.

Well, I'm back home, my father passed just 3 days prior to Christmas. I was pumping up lastnight when the bulb went flat and stayed that way, then I felt intense itching and burning in my scrotum, then it developed a pocket of fluid (either blood or saline I suppose). My face flushed and burned like an allergic reaction.

There was a little pain in the scrotum which faded fairly quickly along with the flushing. Now, however the IPP won't inflate at all, one squeeze and the bulb is flat and stays that way until the release button is pushed. I've tried to reach the VA in Asheville NC where the revision was done, but they are not open due to MLK day.

I'm pretty upset right now. Hopefully I'll be able to get through tomorrow and get this thing repaired pretty quickly.

Well, I went to see my urologist today and he confirmed that the implant has failed and leaked into my scrotum. A complete new implant procedure is going to take place probably in March. He said that if he gets a cancellation, it will take place sooner. Here we go again... Fingers crossed...
