LGX and the magical 25% increase in length

Hey all,
I'm being implanted with an LGX and flat reservoir on October 22 and I had some questions about the practical versus theoretical results so I called AMS. After a few disappointing experiences (no response, no promised call backs, no forthcoming medical studies, etc.) I finally spoke to someone who is a surgical nurse and has been with AMS since 2000. That phone call was worth the wait.
I really had two questions. The first question was what problem was AMS trying to solve with the LGX. The second question was what that 25% ability would mean to me specifically. The answer to both questions was pretty straightforward. The device was designed to help people with penile scarring that resulted from any number of causes. The 25% ability was designed to allow those individuals to get closer to, or achieve, their pre-scarring length. The answer to the second question was based on my personal facts in that I don't have any scarring from any of the causes she mentioned and I don't seem to have lost any length from my radical prostatectomy. So, I posed this question, "If I don't have any loss from those causes AND I don't hypothetically lose any following the implant surgery, how does the 25% ability affect me, if at all?" Answer: "Even if you haven't lost any length, this device could still improve on your length providing your physiology allows it." In other words, if I had a six inch, God given, erect penis, I could, theoretically eventually get to a 7.5 inch erect penis provided everything down there was elastic enough to do that.
All of this seems to be in synch with medical papers I have read about the elasticity of penile tissue and the implants acting as tissue expanders. Several documents I read stated that almost every revision is re-implanted with a larger device when the time comes for that. So, your still limited to your personal physiology but the implant seems to be able to stretch your penis beyond what your normal blood flow and pressure can.
Finally, we talked at length about a wide range of topics from the above to effective measuring, use of RTEs, choosing a DR., etc.. Well worth the time and I suggest calling AMS if you have any questions but count on having to be persistent and insistent on talking to a QUALIFIED individual.
I don't have much more to add to this but I'll keep an eye on the thread and chime in where I think I can help. This conversation helped me level set my expectations as to what to expect as well as the theoretical possibilities. I will add one more thing and that is the purpose of the discussion was to understand what the device could and could not do and not to find out how to make my dick longer. After 30 years of ED and sporadically effective, and now completely ineffective, injections, I am sure I will be happy with a working, on demand, penis.
