Varies a lot case by case and doctor by doctor but the Scrotum is by far the biggest problem and is painful long after the penis has recovered. I had very little bruising but I dosed with vitamin K and avoided every known blood thinner including garlic in my food. Wish I could be more specific but individuals are very different.

My discomfort and bruising started to go away during week three.

I am not implanted, but had a vasectomy many years back. At the time of surgery, the doc said that some nerves are cut, that result in much less sensitivity of the scrotum. I have noticed much less pain, should my twins experience trauma. So, I am thinking I would have less scrotum pain should I get an implant.

I take some supplements that are blood thinners. Prior to surgery, I stop all known blood thinners. Studies have shown that even a big plate of garlic spaghetti sauce the night before surgery can cause increased bleeding and bruising.

Vitamin K is one supplement that increases blood clotting so I made sure my vitamin K was up to par before surgery to help reduce bleeding and bruising. I cannot verify that it made a difference over not taking it. I only know I had very little bruising. Only a little light bruising on the sides of my scrotum that was gone in 4 days. I saw my penis immediately after surgery in the OR before it was bandaged. Dr. Eid inflated it for me and I was shocked at how normal and not traumatized it looked.

100 mcg but I also eat a lot of kale. A serving of kale has about 225mcg of vitamin K in it, twice what taking a pill has.

I had a whole pre-surgery regimen that I got off of a few plastic surgery sites. Just google presurgery supplements and stick with surgery sites not sites that sell vitamins.
