Hey Mick,
If you don't mind a little driving, one of the best known implant surgeons in the country is Dr Henry in Bossier City, LA. Several guys on this site can testify to his prowess. You might want to check him out. I'm not saying there aren't great surgeons in Dallas, of course. Just telling you what I know.

Mick, I am glad to help. Dr. Joshua K. Fine, MD, 3600 Gaston Ave., 1002 Barnett Tower, Dallas, TX 75246, (214) 0826-6235
implanted my AMS700LGX September 2010. I am completely happy with the services of Dr. Fine, the famous University of Baylor Medical Center, and the function of my implant. Please see my post-op comments on page 13 of implant posts entitled AT HOME NOW WITH MAY AMS700LGX.
I went to Dr. Fine to discuss delayed orgasm and unreliability of pills. He gave me a testerone test (all ok) and suggested that I needed more stimulation and perhaps see a sex therapist. I went for more stimulation and nixed the sex therapist.
Later, Dr. Fine and his staff gave a seminar on e.d. and I was invited as a former patient. The seminar was professionallly handled, good presentation, and well attended by men and their spouses. Lot of time for Q&A. A man spoke who has both a penile implant and a valve to control urinary incontinence. I spoke to him privately asking if implants gave to same pleasures of orgasm from masturbation and intercourse. Yes, he said, and I have verified his answers.
Now, Dr. Fine is a man of few words. He will answer your questions but don't expect any elaboration of the subect. I think that this is he personality, rather than any medical haughtiness. So. go with a list of all questions to which you need answers. Make the list. You will not think of the questions with your pants down. Sample questions are: how do you select the implant size, what type of implant is appropriate for me, will the incision be scrotal or lower abdomen, (mine was scrotal), what is the estimated time in hospital, when can I inflate, have intercourse, will I bed rest, will I require ice packs, (no ice for me), and other questions appropriate for you and your partner.
I hope that you will make a good decision about your implant. If I can be helpful through a private message to me, I shall be glad to respond. Regards, Hankthedog or Ariadne
