Nine weeks post surgery, 4 weeks since first activation. A lot of frustration at first. Dissapointing length and girth. hard to use, floppy head, etc. I have the AMS 700. I think I am finally getting used to the pump. More girth, and a little more length. I was able to finally make use last week. I pump at least twice daily. Probably good that I feel a little pain when fully pumped. I hope that means tissue is still stretching. I used the pump for a year, about a month after the prostate removal. I am short about 1" from the vacuum length, but the girth is getting visibly better and the head is getting straighter as I am able to get the tubes further.

Hoping I am on the right track!

I am in the same boat. At 8+ weeks post implant and started to cycle on post op day 12; I am stacked at 3 3/4” at my best days, mostly I am at 3.5”.
I lost 1” after implant and also lost 2 “ after radical prostatectomy which I was not able to recover a bit in past 22 months between RPand IPP.
So between prior to prostate removal and now , I am barely at 50% from what I had before.
I am cycling regularly 2x day and when time permits even 3x day but with no success.

It sure sounds like you are on the right track. As time passes the pump will become easier to use and you will be stretching even more. You said that you have the AMS 700 but the letters after that is more important (CX or LGX). etc. The LGX reportedly continues to produce results up to two years post op. Good luck with your cycling.

According to the paperwork I have, it is the MS.

Patience please. I myself had a very ROUGH 3 months, then everything came along very nice and I consider it the best decision I've ever made.
Few things to note:
- Daily cycling to the max and beyond. You need to inflate it until you feel pain, wait, then inflate more. Twice daily will be perfect.
- Keep your eyes open for any signs of infection and rush to emergency and ask for Antibiotics if you just suspect you've any. Don't wait for the surgeon's office to call you back.

MS stands for Momentary Squeeze, not the implant itself.

I'm a candidate for an implant and have a question: Is it ever possible to over inflate an implant or is there just enough fluid in the reservoir to allow you pump to the maximum safe level? In other words, do you have to be conscious of pumping too much?

I read an explanation about overinflating, I don't remember where. But I don't think you can over inflate. I think there is a mechanism in place. Probably best to ask your Doctor.

I've heard that it's like an old fashioned bicycle pump: You pump and pump till you can't pump any more, then you stop. (You cannot make it explode or anything, I'm told.)
