24 hours till D--- day
Still wondering if it is the right decision.
It seems like a lot of things are going wrong in the days leading up to D day.
I am trying to keep focused on how it will be after it is done since it has been over 5 years since everything was at least close to normal
The one question I do have is has anyone tried T therapy after prostate removal.
I feel than when the prostate was removed there was a switch turned to the off position.
I mean like the old saying "when I was young I would get stiff in a light breeze now it takes a hurricane." Hell after prostate surgery there aren't even any dirty thoughts, only wants. Wondering if I made the right decision to remove the prostate and just deal with the cancer.
Thank everyone for listening and feedback on Franks Talk. Before finding FT I felt like I was the only one going through this and I know that it is just nerves.

I haven't had the prostate issue, so I can't respond to that..but as for the implant...prepare yourself that you will go through a range of emotions right after the process. I don't know if you''ve read the 'daily journals' that some of us have posted, but many of us (myself among the foremost) went through a "Oh My God, What Have I Done?!" period immediately thereafter - especially about 3-5 afterwards when the pain is the worst and the anesthesia has all worn off. Understand in your brain that this is normal, so when it happens, you can use the thinking part of your brain to calm the emotional part. And Best of luck for a successful operation!

GregBuch69,
Same here. Prostate Ca at age of 51. Had RP in 11/2016 and never recovered any erections despite agressive penile rehabilitation.
My orgasams after RP were non existent, same as yours, like light switch was turned off.
Implanted at 22 months post RP.
Good luck with your implant and don’t look backwards.
I am sure, you will be happy with your decision.

Still wondering if it is the right decision.
That was my thought right before getting married.
I'm 99% percent sure I'm headed to the implant direction within the next year or so I'm psyching myself up for the big plunge.
My thinking is if it ain't broken don't fix it, if it's already broken it's worth a try.

Re: 24 Hours Till D;;; day
After 2 years with no sex I was ready to have an erection any way any how. Never doubted the getting an implant just doubted my choice of surgeons. Focus on having never ending erections that are just as hard or as soft as you want. That makes all the difference in healing.

Re: 24 Hours Till D;;; day
Sorry for not getting back sooner, only had phone to work with
Went to St. Louis and found a hotel to stay at for 4 nights so I could drive the 2 hrs home.
Surgery was Wend morning at Big Mercy (Old St John's)
I took a long time deciding on which Dr. to use
At the time of surgery I found out that she was well respected at the hospital and everyone did what she wanted and when she wanted it done.
Day three pain level is pretty high. Ice and pain meds.
I know I am supposed to soak in bath tub and hot water but it may have to wait till tomorrow.
Yes I am asking WTF did I do.
I know it will get better just hope soon.

Re: 24 Hours Till D;;; day
Just tried soaking in the tub, if that is what you can call it in this house, water not very warm and it seemed to help a little.
But got a good look at my poor little Willie and I am sure he was run over by a truck and than smacked around.
Some swelling and some bruising but a hole lot less than when the prostate was removed.
Sitting with a hot water bottle right now.
Hope Willie forgives me.
