March 6 is the Day

Hi everyone.

Implant day is coming the day after tomorrow, and I appreciate all the journals, tips, and encouragement from you all over the past few months.

As I think about coming home from the hospital, might you offer a list of recommended items to have at home as I recover? I have the frozen peas! That's about it, however.

Thanks!

Plan on not walking for a week :-)

Plenty of loose sweatpants. Extra underwear, because you're gonna dribble.

If Doc is sending you home inflated, make sure they let you take one of those bent plastic pee containers. Otherwise you will be (a) peeing in the shower; (b) doing acrobatics to pee in the pot; or (c) just peeing all over the potpourri plate and the walls...

Stock up on Tylenol and Ibuprofin, esp. for when your painkillers run out.

Gauze pads, and lots of them. If you find yourself walking earlier than expected, you want to cushion your boys, especially where the incision/stitches are.

Order some of these David Archy Men's 4 Pack Micro Modal Separate Pouch Briefs With Fly. I learned about these on here and LOVE them. Most comfortable underwear I've ever owned. I finally tried them post implant today, day 5. I wish I would have tried them sooner. Just put some gauze "fluff" between the incision and undies and it's golden. Most comfortable I've been walking around and sitting since I got home (except when in laying in bed in the buff). Just FYI, I was sent home mostly deflated. Fully inflated they might not be the best.

Get your self one of those plastic urinals, going pee is a real pain to get it to point in the right direction.
After a day or two the Anastasia meds. wears of it mite get a little tough. If your are side sleeper use a pillow or 2
between your knees or on your back under knees, after ten to 14 days you'll be able smile again ;)

Great advice, everybody. Thanks so much. Keep them coming!

I'm sure this will be helpful for other guys, as well.

Also, use frozen peas on the crotch while you lay relaxed -- but only for 20 minutes so nothing "freezes" down there. Definitely helps with the pain!

Hey Prof,
If you want to limit discoloration and swelling keep your butt above your heart 24/7 for 14 days or so. Also drink plenty of fluids to flush out dead cells from your body, include Gatorade.
Br sure to ask your doc how soon you can start masturbating. The sooner the better gets the brain in sync with your implant. Tomorrow's the big day! We all expect a full report.

Remain laying down as much as possible, even if you feel like getting up and doing things. 2 hours after that trip to the store you will be swollen and sore if you push it too fast and it is harder to get the swelling down. Good luck.

I kept a male urinal, a small cooler for ice pack/ bag o peas, next to the bed every night. I pretty much lived in flannel pajama bottoms ( one size larger than normal). Also, one of the hardest things was sleeping because I am a side sleeper. I slept with pillows between my legs and on one side more than the other.
