Cycle Pain after revision

When I had my first Titan, I was surprised there was no pain with cycling when I was released at 41/2 weeks. At times I tried to make it actually hurt more by pumping as hard as possible, but discomfort was minimal.
Recent revision to CX, and I was cleared at 31/2 weeks for every other day cycling until 5 weeks when i can go once a day. And then 2x day at 6 weeks.
I now have a CX. The difference in cycling pain/discomfort is night and day. Much worse with the CX after revision, even though it does not have the girth out of the gate the Titan did, although length is the same. And it hurts for some time after deflation even. The cylinders seem to stay very hard and rigid despite what I feel is a good deflation.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with more cycling pain after a revision?, or just in general with a CX? I guess for all the talk of more normal in the flaccid, it may take some time to get there.
Thanks
