Peyronies
Peyronies
I have peyronies Disease. I was diagnosed about 6 months ago and currently taking meds plus traction device. I really think to correct the problem I will need surgery. Has anyone on this site had the nesbit procedure and if so how much lenght do u lose. Can any tell me who is the top surgeons in the US that are specialists in peyronies surgery.
Re: Peyronies
I would not wait. Get an implant asap.it just gets worse. Peyronies is not cancer but hate it anyway. All 4 docs I saw said I could have the nesbit but in the end you will have an implant anyway. You will just get shorter and shorter over time.
Titan implant in March so happy.

Re: Peyronies
Research this well , i used a high volume surgeon who dealt with severe peyronies only 1-2 per year. after two surgery's ,,xiaflex injections , i am scheduled to have surgery number three December 10 th with Dr , Run Wang in Houston tx .This has been a two year journey and still i am not able to penetrate my wife . There is a difference in the surgery's and very few surgeons will admit they are in over their heads (arrogance ) and refer you to one of their piers.Dr Wang is suppose to be as good as it gets for difficult cases , We will see. Re: Peyronies
Let me tell you my story.
June of 2014 I get Peyronies. There is not a urologist in my city in my insurance network so I have to travel to another city. Out of town doc puts me on meds tells me nothing can be done until 18 months after onset of the disease to make sure the leision had stabilized. I had a 90 degree bend with an hourglass deformation and he recommended plication. Everything I had read told me that if there was a hinge or hourglass deformity a graft was called for but he said that grafting was a terrible surgery and to stay away from it. When we finally schedueled my surgery it was denied by my insurance. I tried to find out what it would cost if I paid cash but his office dropped me. They would not return any of my phone calls and after a couple weeks I gave up.
On to doctor number 2. I thought if I was going to pay cash I might as well get it done at home so I see the local urology group. Doc I see tells me everything the first guy said. He gives me a cash price for surgery ($4,000) and I get it done. The first time I saw my erection after surgery I almost cried. For some reason it reminded me of a railroad spike. I had lost a lot of length and and past the leision I had also lost a lot of girth. Didn't matter though, within two weeks it failed and I was back to a 90 degree bend. Turns out it was THE BEST FUCKING THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME.
Bring on doc number 3. I'm off to another city and another doctor. This one tells me that no, graft surgey is fine but it takes special training that most urologists have not had. He does a sonogram and injects me and other tests and tells me that I am a good candidate. I asked about getting an implant at that time but he said my erection response was really good and I should do the graft. This time my insurance has no problem paying for it (what does that tell you?). After the surgery thing were much better. I still had little bend and lost some size but it was 100% better than after the plicatin surgery. However, I now needed medication (viagra or cialis) and over the next couple years they lost their effictiveness. Last November I go back to him to talk about an implant. Right after Christmas I got a Titian and am very happy with it. Is it perfect? No, but damn close. After 3 surgeries I have lost a tiny bit of length and my girth is the same if not bigger.
Looking back I wish I would have insisted on an implant from the beginning. I don't know if the graft helped save my length or if the surgeron could have incised the plaque it at the time of the implant surgery or not but except for the loss of time and money I am now pleased with how things turned out.

Re: Peyronies
Henry I see that u live in Shreveport area. I'm from Lafayette and would like to know more about your peyronies. I was diagnosed about 6 months ago 60 degree upward curve. Can u tell me what treatments did u try and what were the outcomes. I had a duplex done and I still have great blood flow and have no problem getting an erection. Dr Wang how much do u know about him and is he a peyronies specialist. I would rather not have an implant but not against it. If anyone knows of a reputable surgeon please let me know. I search the wed but I just have trust issues. Like any man I don't want to lose any length and I know the nesbit is famous for losing length. Any suggestions
Re: Peyronies
I live in Texas ,, Dr Henry was my surgeon. I went through 2 rounds of xilaflex injections . With no improvement

Re: Peyronies
Thanks for your response. Xiaflex 30k. Implant 30k sounds easy but we are talking about someone operating on your Johnson. What do u know about the grafting surgery that Dr Wang does. I've been searching the web for months with really no results. I read about a surgeon in Brazil who does a technique called the stage. He has very good reviews but the thought of a 12 hour flight is not for me. I can do the Nesbit but would probably lose 1 1/2 inches. If anyone knows a reputable doctor who is successful doing the grafting surgery all info is appreciated. This journey has taken me into a deep depression. I am engaged to be married but I was straight up with her and told her that with my situation that I would probably search for another mate. One day I may repost and say I got a Titan and life is lovely
Re: Peyronies
Find a doc. Get the titan. Before implant use the ved and traction. The longer you wait the shorter you get.
Happened to me. Not one of 4 surgeons I saw thought injections would help anyone but the drug company.
