Tried to have intercourse for 1st time today!

Since my implant on 6/18 we tried intercourse today, but could not penetrate. The urologist that my wife went to for this issue said she could rejuvenate my wife’s vagina for the cost of $1200.00. Medicare doesn’t cover this procedure. She feels pain as soon as I start to penetrate even with ample lubricant. Not sure how to renew our once intimate sexual relationship. I realize I’m to blame for not getting an implant sooner. Any of you guys experienced this after your implant, & if so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bailey

Bailey: Fortunately I do not have first hand experience. What I do hear from others is an estradiol product applied as a cream, lots of lube and penetrating the vagina with small, graduating to larger diameter dildoes will stretch the vagina again. She needs to see a gyno who specializes in reproductive medicine. Sounds like a basic case of vaginal atrophy.

My wife had the same problem and was prescribed a hormone cream from her gynecologist . It has worked wonderfully for her at just half the prescribed dosage. She's as wet as she was in her 20's ( 64 now ) with no pain.

yes this is a common problem for older women. the estrogen creams should help. The mona lisa treatment for 1200 might be ok, but i think this is a long term project (6 months at least) where estrogen cream needs to be used.
the key words for her to use when talking or looking for a gynecologist who is interested in this is "I need a specialist who handles painful intercourse for an older woman".
As I said before, you are not alone, this is common, and she just needs to decide if it is worth it to her to get this fixed up.
ALSO, BY THE WAY,
do remember that you are adjustable in terms of hardness. So inflate just barely enough to be able to penetrate, and use a bunch of lube, and push it in slow.

I've been seeing similar problems with my wife.
She's had 2 vaginal births and her vagina is quite roomy.
She does usually have sufficient moisture, but I use oil when she doesn't.
I've been considering Mona Lisa procedure for her. Femi-? seems to be the new shiny toy, but they sound similar to me.
I think Mona Lisa would cost less?
2 grand wouldn't strain our budget.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
My wife still enjoys sex and I can tell she's not faking it.

We went through this and she had Mona Lisa laser treatments but they have to be updated and insurance doesn’t cover in our case either. After several gynecologist she found one that helped and now uses a prescription cream with great results. Still have to use lube and as suggested I don’t pump until hard actually leave it fairly soft and this helps her. Find a doctor that takes this problem seriously and will treat it things can get better sex is great for us again.

I go to another urologist in the office where I got my implant tomorrow.
I will get the results from my prostate biopsy.
I think I'll ask him about options for my wife.
Hell, we never go anyplace and have to spend $ someplace.

Uh boy...I feared trouble when I read "tried" to have intercourse....sorry to hear it after all you've been thru. The ML laser thing others mention sounds promising.

Some of you guys have mentioned a prescribed cream that helped your wife with rejuvenation of the vagina. My wife was only given a sample of a over the counter lubricant that they recommended which we found out didn’t help at all. If you could please provide the name we would appreciate it. Thanks, Bailey

Perhaps bad news. I think that the most effective creams have estrogen in them. Estrogen pretty much means that it'll require a prescription.
