Post Implant - Do you lose sensation?

I'm considering an implant surgery with Dr Eid later this year and have been interviewing past patients of his to understand their experience and satisfaction.

One thing I've received mixed messages on from past patients is whether or not men experience reduced sensation with the implant. A few of the younger patients said they do (although one says he can improve this by taking cialis with his implant), but most of the older patients and patients with life long ED said they have no change.

To those in the community who have had an implant...what has been your experience?

Make sure that you take into account whether the person that you talk to has had his implant for a short time or a long time. It's generally accepted that it takes some men up to a year, sometimes longer, to get their implat settled in. It would be easy to get a bad testimonial from a guy that would change his mind at a later date.

Charlie, I am more sensitive since my implant. I had trouble reaching climax while using pills and injections. I now reach climax in a reasonable time frame and they are they feel great.

My sensations are the same as before "the change" (prostatectomy in 2000, implant in 2002). In fact, I could almost say that it is better because I now have a dick that can always get hard and will stay that way as long as I want it to. :D

I had very little loss of sensation, but I did have reduced ability to orgasm in the early months after implant. This has abated somewhat and now orgasms come easier. But I care very little for my orgasms. I revel in my partner's.

My operation left my penis looking like roadkill, all bruised and misshapen for a week or so. This undoubtedly traumatized the nerves. Nerves heal slowly, but they are coming back. I can only surmise that, while I did not detect a loss of sensation, there must have been some loss of communication between those nerves and my brain's orgasmic centers and perhaps also the general sensory centers as well. But over time, most men recover all or most of what they lost to the surgery.

Now, prostate surgery (which often leads eventually to an implant) is much more likely to affect nerves and sensations.

16 months in and there is still a numb feeling at the glan and a small amount at the base of the shaft. Takes a very long time to get my rocks off.
Other than that can make the girlfriend cum most of the time and very happy with mine.
