I'm checking what the best time would be to plan my implant surgery...

So i wanted to ask if some of you could help me out with the following questions:

- how many days after the surgery were you able to walk normally in a way that made it possible to meet people without having to tell them that you underwent surgery ?

- After how much time were you able to return to the gym or practice other sports?

- How much time after surgery it took before you were able or allowed ( by the surgeon) to swim in the sea ?

Thank you!

As I said in a similar post a few days ago. A cheap big box store back brace & "I pulled a muscle in my lower back" covers a lot of questions. After all, who hasn't had a friend with a sprained back? Think about it.

My issue was that I was kept pumped up about 60 percent for a couple weeks. We had a big bbcue after about day 15. I was still pointing out and up. Kept it strapped to my belly but had to wear loose pants and untucked shirt to hide it. And walk hunched over a bit.

Brace thing would give good excuse for funny walk. I could walk fine and not in any pain though. Just dealing with a permanent erection for a few weeks made normal activities tough.

No heavy weights till week 6.

I returned to work after a week, but I have a desk job. Jobs that require lifting would be different I am sure.

I took 2 weeks off walking around wasn't a to much of a problem even on day too. It was the as I call it the partial woody that made things more difficult in moving around. I was inflated at 50% still am at Day 14 post op

As a doctor of mine said here are some rules after that let discomfort be your guide

RPD,

Hi. I'm just at 3 weeks. I would say pretty consistently over the last week I've been at the gym to do some gentle walking on the treadmill, 1.5 - 2 miles at a very slow rate (15 - 20 min mile). All dictated by how sore I am after, or if I'm feeling discomfort during I slow down or stop. I believe this helps my body heal.

Sunday, day 18, I cranked out 3 pull-ups but stopped because I could feel the strain on my core. I'm going to wait 2 - 3 more weeks before I do that again. I have refrained from the circuit weights I do period

I see Dr Karpman Thursday for my final blessing. I'll check with him then on exercise, etc.

Good luck
Sam

I was walking normal by day 3 or 4, back at work on day 6, but had to take it easy. Exercise or strenuous activity caused discomfort or pain for a while, but by week 3 I felt back to normal.
