Hi guys ... getting closer to becoming bionic. My surgery date is set for late December.

Questions on the devices:

Has anyone had both the AMS and Coloplast pumps? Any pros/cons or recommendations?

As far as the Coloplast line ... has anyone had both the Genesis and OTR? Any pros/cons or recommendations?

What about pump placement? Low and behind the boys OR low and in front?

I realize it is unusual to have had more than 1 type of pump ... so any comments about the one you have and what you like or dislike would be helpful too ...

Well I haven’t ams, I have had the one touch coloplast it’s okay but it’s huge, and the og genesis that I found some surgeons didn’t even offer which is harder to deflate but way smaller

Thanks for the comment. It looks to me like the AMS pump is even larger yet. That's one of the reasons I a leaning toward a Titan product, the pump would be less noticeable. Anyone have the smaller Genesis model? How hard is it to deflate? (I have pretty severe arthritis in my hands... )

Wouldn’t recommend that one for you if you have dexterity problems I can take a picture of the genesis though

I have the AMS pump its not even noticeable, surgeon place it very low behind my right testicle and it easy to inflate and deflate.

I’m rocking an LGX device… i’ve got a pretty small scrotum in the realm of things… Not obnoxiously tiny but super compartmentalized… I mean, to make it easy, there isn’t a lot of sag… I’m 32 years old and I guess haven’t lived that wild ever life yet LOL... I was really worried after surgery that this thing was extremely disproportionate… As the swelling goes down, it seems to be fitting in just fine… my girlfriend says it looks completely natural so I’m taking her word for it… honest to God though, this thing is a little bit larger than what I originally expected… Definitely not a dealbreaker… A bunch of guys on here told me that you can order or request a sample pump block from Boston scientific… Something that might help you…

I have had the ams pump. it was comfortable but seemed kind of large. I have also had a revision to a titan genisise pump after the first implant was a failure due to a bad surgeon implanted to small of an implant.
The titan genisis pump is smaller and more comfortable. It is hard to pump up at first, just like the ams. After a time it is not so bad and softens up. The pump has a release valve which is like squeezing 2 bars above the bulb. At times it is hard and somewhat uncomfy to squeeze to release. It takes some practice. But is ok once you get used to it. It is smaller, and will test your determination. I will keep mine......

The Coloplast Genisis is a semi-rigid maleable. I do not understand all the references a Genisis pump.

Due to a Coloplast naming faux pas, they have the Genesis implant (malleable) and the Genesis pump which is one of the pump options to be paired with the Coloplast Titan IPP.

They use the same name but are totally different products for different purposes. The Genesis malleable is an all-in-one (or two) semi-rigid penile implant and the Genesis pump is only one of three (??) available pumps they have to offer for the Titan.
