Pain!

Postby retiredrichard » Tue Mar 20, 2012 9:56 pm

Had my IPP done 12 days ago. The pain was like playing 4 quarters of football playing both ways without a cup. For the first 7 days, it was percocet and oxycodine every 4 hours. Then I was able to get it down to 2 or 3 a day. Today, after my afternoon nap (I am retired so my day is mine), I woke up with no more pain! What a great feeling! Now I wait for 4 more weeks before Pump Day!!!

Sounds like your post-op recovery is going along just fine.
Best of luck on Pump Day!!!

Sorry to hear about the pain, this whole thing usually is painful to some extent and maybe you are having more than the norm? Anyway you didn't say where the pain is but with your "cup" reference, I assume that it's in the scrotum area. First thing to my mind is, are you wearing some type of extra support? Some of the things that has given others relief are, an athelitic suporter, pouch type brief underwear or compression shorts. THe supporter did not do me much good but the Jockey pouch briefs did and I still wear them a year later. In my case, I got uncomfortable pretty quick when gravity went to work on that area. It took some time for me to be able to stand and walk around more than a few minutes without a pressure, aching type pain.
Anyway I hope the pain will go away soon and your implant will be succesful.
