Hi All:

Thanks for everyones words of wisdom and experience.

I am flying to the east coast from California tomorrow (Sunday) and meet with Dr. Kramer Monday for an appointment. Surgery is scheduled Tuesday early early AM on Tuesday the 17th.

I've met a few guys with the implant, so I know what I am getting into. Don't know what manufacturer I'll be getting. We shall see.

Hopefully keep what I got and maybe with cycling, get some of length back I lost over the last couple of years after my penile fracture(s).

Best,

KRH

As another gay man, it might be interesting to compare notes. I was just implanted on oct 31st. I am single and a "top." Still out of circulation as recovery is taking longer than anticipated.
Good luck on the 17th. My follow up with my surgeon is on the 17th when we are supposed to activate but I really started on my own last week.

Best regards,

Ken

Hi Everyone.

I'd thought I'd post my experience here as it is a bit different than some other men.

Just some background on my situation that might help other guys in similar situation. Sorry if too graphic or if I offend the straight guys ;)

Gay male, 52 yo. Very athletic and play sports. Dick used to be about 8", pretty nice, regular sized scrotum.

Starting having ED issues about 15 years ago.

11 years ago I decided to get the Dr. Elist ball implants (to make your scrotum look bigger). I have a thing for big balls, what can I say. My testicles work fine and still do. Dr. Elist convinced me to get the penile implant at the same time (which is basically a sheath over your dick under the skin). Yeah I know, what the fuck was I thinking?!!! Well I was a grower and not a shower, and from what he says it would look and feel natural and hang better. NOT! I had all of that removed in about 6 months due to the falling apart. I also found out later that he wasn't the most upfront about his success rate and there were multiple issues with multiple patients. Just my humble opinion, don't go there, don't do that procedure. Additionally, When Dr. Elist removed the implants he left some suture under the head of my penis. When I asked, he said that it was only scar tissue. After healing up, I had it examined by other DRs and they have told me it is a non-dissolvable suture that can be removed. It is still there. This has been about ten years now.

That being said, I had liquid silicone injected into my scrotum (by a DR) to kind of make up for the retraction from removing the ball implants. This was purely cosmetic, like the Elist implants. I still have it and like it. Feels very natural and gives me what I was looking for. This has been about 8 years now.

After the implants removal, it seemed like my ED started getting worse. Can't really totally blame it on the Elist implant removal, but it did seem accelerated. Then, about two years ago I was fucking and my penis bent and popped (as my dick never got that hard anymore). You know what I mean. Since then my ED got significantly worse to the point I don't get morning erections ever. If I take viagra it can get a bit hard but not fully to the point of penetration. I've had quite a bit of length loss since then. Injections had the same affect. Soft of hard but not enough.

So that brings me to the point of getting a penile implant, which is something I did not want to do. It is something I have to do to get somewhere back to normal. It feels like it has been such a long time that I held my hard dick in my hand. Know what I mean?

I decided to go with Kramer. First off, he has a lot of experience with patients with some issues similar to mine (as did Perito). Second, I had the chance to meet some of the guys off of here to see what I was getting into. I want to throw-out a big "Thanks!" to these guys for their input and time. I also met a patient who had Kramer do the work on them and I was impressed.

Today (Monday, Dec16th), I met Kramer in person for a pre-op appointment. I like the guy. Good attitude. We had a good discussion about my situation and what we were gonna do.

After examining me, he told me that the Titan would be the best for my situation due to the thickness of my penis. Kramer will not remove the suture and said he doesn't work on that, and that the implant is not in the same area. To be honest, I was hoping to get that suture out at the same time as putting in the implant (it makes the head of my dick sensitive, especially if playing with my dick for awhile). So the suture will stay there for now.

Second, because of the silicone in the scrotum, Kramer is worried about infection. Rightly so. I've had this discussion with a couple of other Urologists. One said it shouldn't be an issue and the other said it could be possible. (Kramer) told me that the first plan is the Titan. If the silicone looks encapsulated (meaning no droplets of liquid silicone he can see), he will put in the Titan. If he does see that there is some liquid silicone, he will put in the AMS due to the way the implant has antibiotics infused into it (or something like that).

I am the first surgery of the day tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!

Update: Day 1

Had surgery 8 AM. I am sore as hell and swollen. Just took some tylenol so far.

Kramer went with the AMS and he said it was 24 cm (not sure what the will equate to). He thought about it over night and decided against the Titan because of the infection issue and my particular case. He said surgery went well other than that my scrotal wall was thick from the silicone.

I'll post an update each day about progress.

Hope everyone else out there is doing well!!!

DAY 2:

Took the catheter out today (surprisingly didn't hurt, just uncomfortable). I don't really have too much pain, just soreness. ALso, I have been laying in bed and catching up on TV.

I have a lot of swelIling in the pubic area and scrotal area. Dick looks a bit small, sticking straight out, partially inflated, but hard to tell with all the swelling. i think overall, given that its a day since the surgery, everything is going well.

I haven't taken any pain meds since the Tylenol last night, but the razor burn and the catheter were the most painful things at the time. They are both gone now. I'm not too black and blue.. Just swollen...

Thanks for the words of encouragement!
