Implant Will Not Fully Inflate

I saw my doctor this morning. I am 7 weeks post surgery. While he was able to deflate the implant, inflation was still uncomfortable, and he was not able to fully inflate the implant. He said the bulb is filling, there are no leaks, but he could not fill it to a full erection. He told me not to attempt cycling and that we would try again in two weeks. He did not offer any opinion as to why it wasn’t working other than, he does not know why.
I am speculating i was just too soar. I also have iced the area regularly because I find myself sitting on the pump bulb, which is anatomical according to the doctor. I wondered if that slowed the saline down. I sent him a follow up question in that regard.
I am concerned. Has anyone else had this experience, and did it resolve itself with healing over time?
Thanks you.

I believe it's just because you are sore. Try taking a nice hot bath. After a while the heat will soften the pump up,
then give it a go if ok with your Doc. Mine is still very firm and it is difficult to pump. 15 min. in a hot bath and it seems easier to inflate.
Hope this helps.

Hey man, I had the same problem with a very hard pump bulb (titan). I literally worked on that fucker for 4 hours! A couple of guys on here coached me and I am grateful! I finally was able to position my hands in such a way that I could use both thumbs to force it. I read on coloplast that I could not damage/break the pump by pushing too hard. It finally caved and I felt a swoosh. I am still having trouble with deflation - the way the pump is hanging/sitting - it is difficult for me to access the deflate button facing toward the back of my scrotum. Ugh. I always get it, but it also makes me sore when I have to dig around too much. Learning curve I suspect. Not advising you what to do, just sharing my experience. Once you break through the pump the first time - that parts easy going forward. Good luck pal.

Jasonsa...
Can you share your technique with using two thumbs as I am sure I will need to figure that one out as well as my grip strength with thumb and finger will not work. Two thumbs would definitely do the trick for me. I will become implanted in less than a month so curious how you use the two thumb method?

AMS has a detailed video on you tube describing the various techniques of pumping, one of which is the two thumb approach.

I don’t understand who designed these pumps. There is no reason to have to go thru these ridiculous maneuvers to get the pump to work. Also - why doesn’t the doctor pump it up a few times to make sure it works before closing you up?
